We're having chicken salad to atone for the Indian takeaway and two bottles of plonk we scoffed and quaffed last night.

I'm sure to have food envy throughout this thread....

Rocky...how very sophisticated!

Sam ... sashimi ... one of my favourites !
Hi, NoM.....this afternoon I made a twiddle muff for a dementia unit....then, as a friend was coming for the evening I cooked....
...well I say cooked....I prick and pinged lamb shanks in port and redcurrant gravy (you all know it wasn't Tonyav coming to dinner).

In honour of the lamb I went to town with lots of tarted up veg and some stuffing and redundant onion gravy.....

The dinner was delicious......but then things that I don't have to cook are delicious too......and don't leave me with this mess to clear up.....

I accept but don't understand this love of messing up a room to create something that will disappear......

So I'll stick to twiddle muffs.....and go back to telling guests......Bring food and chocolate!....☺
(you all know it wasn't Tonyav coming to dinner).

To bloody right ;-)

Anyhoo I had toad in the hole with Green and Orange things.
Green and orange things!!! Made me laugh......☺
chilli and chipotle chicken tonight, spatchcocked to get any anger out of me....just kidding.
Well they are ain't they ;-)
Keeping it simple... Bernard Mathews Hamwhiches are on the go. :-P
I am having a Chicago Town pizza with extra toppings. I know how to live
We had a takeout curry as it's boy #2's birthday.

What curries did your order, Sher?

Gness, what in God's name is a twiddle muff? Or dare I ask?
Just finished my takeaway curry. I had lamb naga and boy was it hot. Now chilling with vodka and tonic with plenty ice!!!!!
Question Author
Nice one, Sharon. I'm rather partial to a naga myself.
Rogan Josh, usually for me but having a Bradley Walsh moment...

what in God's name is a twiddle muff

Also Sunday's menu: Toad-in-the-hole, batter made with James Martin's Grandma's Batter recipe. Never fails, absolutely delish. and use really good quality sausages. Make batter the evening before. Thick onion gravy and buttered peas to accompany. This mountain of batter pudding is just about extractable from the top oven!
Question Author
I'm impressed by the homemade chapatis. In this day and age most people would buy them.
I had a mini Christmas dinner today ( substitute turkey for pork chop though ).
Sorry NoM, didn't see your question. Me and himself had chicken madras and the kids had chicken kormas (plus five plain naan and ten popadums) and they tried some rogan josh sauce too) but didn't like it). My eldest daughter always finishes off my madras and my yoingest daughter also had a portion of Bombay aloo to herself.

I cooked Roast Lamb, Tatties and green Veg tonight. Not been a great success as Mrs B bit under the weather and hasn't had any and Tash' doesn't eat a lot anyway.
I enjoyed mine and there's lots left if anyone fancies it.
