Yes, ynnafymmi your description is exactly right. MrsProf insists I get a haircut this week and my round- bottomed flasks and retorts are bubbling merrily away giving out the smelliest laboratory pongs imaginable. I wear my lab coat as a badge of honour as there are more acid holes in it than material! But then that may be own fault as I squint through my specs...

I like my mustard!
At my local burger van, I have proper English mustard (rather than 'burger mustard') on things. When I'm cooking, I'll also use English mustard in some dishes (e.g. in my pilchard bake recipe, which several people here like: https:/ /www.th eanswer bank.co .uk/Cha tterBan k/Quest ion6557 23.html ). However I tend to use whole-grain mustard if I'm coating chicken pieces in honey and mustard before baking them. (Yummy!)

I forgot, when I want to make roasties with a difference, I par-boil the potatoes, drain and cool in a colander with a tea towel over them. Then I lightly scratch all the surfaces with a small fork to increase the surface area. I sift a little flour with loads of dry Colmans and gently roll the potatoes through the mix. Pop into very hot fat and gently baste them. They come out a treat :)
