does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

its plant sales with me....sigh
Oooh it's far too blustery out there, tut.
Yes neti, I've done that now but the temptation was there. :)
I'm not buying any plants until the big boys have been and done that work for me. The soil underneath the cryptomeria will need improving too befor I can put anything in.
I've ordered a luxury ironing board cover. Whoopee.

Robi you devil! My orders are to go in my giant tubs. My plan is to get the big boys in next year to do the trees because if i do it too often its a waste of money...maybe have a clear out in the autumn and reinforce the tort pen fence, then I could put in my fruit cage, and do the pond late autumn once the tortoises are out of their pen so Rab can help me.
more showers, probably just enough to keep the garden from dying for another 24 hours, so I am curled up in front of Talking Pictures TV, the same as I was before lockdown. I was supposed to have a phone consultation with the hospital this week but I left it too late to book a blood test so I'll have to try to sort one or the other out tomorrow. I can't believe we've all been inside for three months now.

yup, 14 weeks
if it had been winter it would have felt like three years. Let's hope it doesn't get worse in the coming months.

well my horoscope says that all will be well so it must be ok
Good morning...is it October already? It looks and feels like it....and no Wimbledon :'-(
Well that's reassuring woofy. Apparently Uranus is in my sign and I've got big changes ahead....I'm starting with the new ironing board cover.
There's a full eclipse moon on Friday...whooo.
I enjoyed lockdown in March as it was cosy. We are allowed out now as State of Alarm has ended. We have to socially distance. I went out today but why is it the English who wont wear masks? They dont even carry them ! Not a policeman in sight. We will be in lockdown again soon. I was having a coffee socially distance by miles from the others and a woman came near me with her mask under her chin and.coughed several times. I immediately pulled up my mask and covered my face with my hands and shouted Eff off! Sorry but that's all that came to mind
She apologised and moved off!!
gah, I woke up at 2am with cramp in my left foot, 4am with cramp in my right foot and 6am with cramp in my left calf. I think I need a whole cork mattress.
Oh dear jno. Maybe a couple of these pushed together?

The Brits are behaving badly neti (well some of them are). The invasion of the beaches and all of that rubbish left behind is disgusting. I know holiday destinations need the business but who'd want people like that visiting or flying in?

It's real feel of 10/11C here and I am not happy.

oh well, I sorted out the blood test - apparently appointments from the Haemo department are automatically regarded as urgent, so I just turneed up at the blood test room and was done so quickly I didn't even have time start feeling wobbly.

That's what I need, Robinia, all new architecture from the ground up

Is that your lockdown collection jno?
Just back from hospital Tesco. He 2 injection in shoulder to bring swelling down but muscle is rubbing on bone and wont settle. He then asked was I being treated for my liver and I said no. So he said go to Mexico as my eye is yellow.
Tesco was ok but nothing overly exciting. I got bread, sausages and crumpets and lots of pickles
Yum
you've got a Tesco in your hospital or a hospital in your Tesco? I'm sure they'll think of that here sooner or later. Free consultation with every £10 spend.
Not even an open cafeteria!
I have had my hospital appointment and my platelets are all where they should be. OH has got two appointments, actual physical ones, at the same time and has had to ring them up to invite them to get their act together. Denise has delivered the greengroceries, and the apricots and cherries are so plump and juicy. A man's going to come and replace some dodgy roof tiles tomorrow, hopefully not in the rain. We may expect some of OH's former colleagues to drop by today in uproar as they have been told their jobs are moving to the Midlands somewhere and they are not happy. And I plan to go to the PO when it's dry, otherwise I'll be social distancing outside in the rain. This amounts to quite an exciting couple of days, now I can no longer track lions across the Serengeti :-(
Hola. Yes jno quite an exciting time!
Weve been chasing missing pensions and expensive telephone Bill's
Am worn out
Then we 3 all went for coffee and breakfast as hija is leaving at 6am tomorrow. Its sweltering. Hija is out saying goodbye and when she come home we all have to your her hair. She has so much hair, so she does the front and Mr N and I have to do the back. Nightmare!
complete lack of swelter here.
Afternoon all...no swelter here either :(
Yesterday wasn't too bad if you didn't count the showers. Someone over the way was having roof work done by a couple of shirtless men. I kept an eye on them, purely out of concern for their safety of course.
You'd think it had been raining cherry stones here, they're everywhere. Someone must be missing an awful lot of fruit.
