does anyone know where I can buy maple sugar, cream and butter from a uk mail order company? I know I can get it straight from Canada and the US but the p and p and customs make this very expensive.

it's been nice and sunny down here but the ground is still very soft, so I don't suppose the garden will need watering for a while.

my garden is like rock and dust....tubs are hanging by a thread, better water tomorrow, I never water stuff growing in the ground once its established but the tubs that haven't rooted through need it.

Weve just had a honey roasted gammon from tesco and it was really nice for a change. Mr slaves away and make dauphinoius (?) Pots. Really nice. Am just lolling around as so hot.

nice sunny day here, I was thinking of going out for a walk but I'm a bit nervous of crowds around town at the weekends. So I got sidetracked into hedge-trimming, then I just lay in the sun with a cold drink. The drink was a bust, I though I was pouring Coke on top of my rum but it was actually G&T, which tastes every bit as bad with rum as I would have expected.

I am going to try to watch The September Issue, a documentary about producing Vogue magazine, but I will have to have my hearing aids in as there are no subtitles.

I hope everyone is relaxing in the warmth.

another warm day but I didn't go outside too much as OH was mowing the lawn and I didn't want to get in the way, like the thoughtful person I am. It's supposed to rain tonight, so it had to be done.

I am watching a lovely popcorn and candyfloss Hallmark series called Good Witch...just what the doctor ordered! Its warm and sticky here but I did get the lawn mowed and my mimosa lopped and the loppings stacked in a corner to rot down. It needs the crown lifting but I want to wait until february because it flowers in January and its lovely.

Morning all, here I is. Had a rough time this past 10 days or so, started with pain in my leg which got worse until it was keeping me awake at night. I naturally assumed was 'algia or 'itis. Then lo! cameth the rash with small blisters down the back of my leg, shingles :( I've spoken on the phone with a GP, we tried a video call but it wasn't working on my phone, but it's all the classic symptoms. Luckily the rash isn't severe but the pain's terrific. Your poor sister neti, I don't know how I'd cope with this pain anywhere else. Looks like my hair appointment will be a no go, I'm so annoyed.
It's Tarquin's birthday today, where did the years go?

Hello. Oh no Robi somehow I feel responsible . Hooe it is a mild attack.
It was raining this morning that'll sort the blumin tourists out!!
I am excessively proud of myself . Having had a new router installed I couldn't use the wifi printer
I had to get a man in to install it last time and I just cant afford it. So I youtubed and YouTube and pressed this and that and nothing!! But you ever get the feeling that you are going to succeed? I had that feeling so just soe t 3 hrs and finally connect printer to smartphone. Thus emboldened I attacked the laptop and it just seemed to connect!!!
Printed off a couple of docs and its fine . I am so relieved. At one point I almost asked woofy for help! jno I'm surprised that OH is allowed to mow the lawn!!!
