Thin strips couldn`t see it working with a tomato.
I thought that was to chop them into long, fine pieces like long matchsticks - but tomatoes?
Question Author
yeah thats what i thought. but i couldnt see it with tomatoes. blame monica on friends. she was the one who was talking about it.
I always thought that too...how on earth was Monica gonna cut tomatoes julienne..fresh tomatoes at that!
Halve them, scoop out the juicy, wet, pippy stuff and then Julienne the skins. That is the only way I can think of.
Tomato Julienne are thin strips of sun-dried tomato in (usually) olive oil packed into glass jars:-
