am going to use one tonight for chicken, can I put the potatoes in with the chicken and will they brown, cos if I have to put them in seperately it's not worth using the bag!

isn't there a "find the handset" button on the base jno? All my cordfree phones have them! You just press them and listen for the noise coming from the handset.

Oh I 'm, glad he doesn't die. Am going to watch the end of it tonight. How strange, the gym instructor in the opening scenes is my Oliver Mellor of whom I had a dream the other midnight, before the Barry Manilow one!
ah yes, silly me, I forgot the 'find' the handset button...I'm always pressing it. I was thinking of t'other way round, I'm always using my handset(s) to find my mobi. So often in fact I have it listed in names as Chas :o)

Lovely pics neti, I wish it was like that here. Wild, wet, windy day, 8 hrs of hammerin' & bangin'...and the lurgy taking over my poor wobbly body. Booger it.

Poor you robi, if I had a bigger house I would invite you over for a week so you could be looked after (chicken soup my girl!) and long fresh walks. My neighbour started banging yesterday at 5pm and I though Oh no not again, it only lasted a few mins and nothing today. Yes my island can be beautiful!
Find the handset button ?
Are you two having me on ?
No shaney, as if... :o)
On the downstairs base (I've got one upstarirs now too...kept forgetting to take the handset to bed at night) there's a button that says Find...the handset makes a loed bleeping when you press it but the damned thing throws it's voice & I still have to hunt for it :o) When you do find it pressing any key shuts it up.

Bless ya neti, I'll survive I 'spect. I had chicken soup earlier ...but it came out of a tin. Think it'll be an omelette & ice cream for tea.
I see.
I shall have to go in the front room and peruse the base of this handset .
It's good here ,we've got two sets of the ruddy things and nowhere to plug them in . I'm left with one base and one phone .If it rings in the night I have to go downstairs .Mind you it rarely does unless it's the wrong number for a fax machine which we get from time to time .
And then ....you can bet your bottom dollar it's not on the base but hiding somewhere .

Mange tout Robinia ..you could have some of my Linsensuppe with fannys if you were a bit nearer :0)
hello all Robi, loads of hot drinks and tlc. Its still windy and wet here but not as bad as forecast. The steak was divine...M and S aberdeen angus and Mr W cleared his plate.
sleeeeeepy night all

I have 4 handsets in this small villa, one in each room but not the bathroom. All are religiously put back onto the bases as the end of each conversation. It's the Sky remote that goes walkabout after hija has had it, I usually find it at the back of the settee or hidden under a cushion, but I also have 3 of them so am never without!!

Hija has just cooked fish fingers and chips (for me) and mash for her and Mr N (he wanted chips but didn't want to upset her!), peas and asparagus. I served profiteroles and choc sauce for desert.
Hi Biddies. Sorry about your throat Robi. Take care of yourself.

Have had one of my allergic, rheumatic, IBS, sinusitis stay in bed days but feel a bit better now after a nice curry. There is definitely something that sets these bouts off. It makes me feel like I have the flu but I haven't. I am sure it is a food intollerance of some sort!

See you tomorrow!!

Sleep tight biddies.
Of course it could be the weather. Low cloud and wind like this often makes me feel ill!! Roll on Spring!!
there was a find the handset thingy but somehow the handset was switched off so no ring from the wardrobe. It was only discovered by a search party. Reprimands have been issued liberally by me.

Dinner party went a treat. Seven bottles of champers consumed plus ordinary wine. German guests brought warm bread they'd just baked plus marzipan. Everyone brought champagne. Only useful gossip I can remember is never to work for Clarence House (Prince Charles) but Buckingham Palace are okay. More may come back to me when I dry out, possibly tomorrow.
good morning all...jno you do add some tone to this thread ;-) I love champagne too.
normal service here off to bed in a minute.
Good morning Woofie - just missed you!!! xx
OMG JNO was entertaining HM last night!!

Morning all. Hope you are feeling better today. Poor lottie, that's a lot to feel rough with!

jno, I abhore champagne , although have to drink it at some of the do's that Mr N and I attend. Am going to another one next Sat, but as they are mostly dutch people it will be quite la aid back affair, and they won't mind if I rather drink white wine!

Just saw the end of Fit for murder, ahh! Now I wish Vinny was here and had seen it cos I want his opinion that the little snug pub that Tom went to was The Tiger Inn at East Dean near Eastbourne, cos was so similar, and it is always being used in films. One of my old hunting grounds! Will Midsomer carry on with the new Barnaby?

Rather chilly here today but bright and sunny.
<in Mariella Frostrupp voice> Bordid eberybody...I'll try not to sneeze on you..

Nothing much to report here, hammerin' as per from next door (don't builders etc ever have a day off?) and the weather's still fit to blow you brains out. I've thrown a couple of padded coats in the washer but how long they'll stay on the line is anyone's guess.
If you like the last one another David Armand mime to a song... :o)

Yoohoo chooks
Very blowy day here again ,dull but not cold .That chap is hilarious Robinia .The expressions on his face amuse me .
Same old here at Shaneytowers .I've got coffee with whisky, perusing the crossies and it's beef and fannys for dinner .
Pip pip for now .
yoohootooyootoo shaney :o)
Yes, we all have the same s.o.h. in my family so he's our flavour of the month

Oooh, I'm going to make a chicken casserole shortly...can you whizz a couple of pfannys over this way please? Give it some welly tho, they'll be battling a headwind.:o)
Her ya go then ...catch .......easy peasy ..already made .
I just bung 'em in a saucepan of water and then let them simmer for 15 mins and stuff them down my gullet .These are made from potaoto not suet like we do with the Norfolk swimmers .
My mum in law used to make these from scratch .I'm nowhere near as virtuous and neither was she once these hit the shelves :) It involved a lot of grating ,mixing and faffing around .
