Oh Robi, those fires in Perth are in Kelmscott and Roleystone, just where my bro and his children live, No one has been killed but it's still worrying. Is your son near there??
Oh dear yes neti, it's a worry. Hope your family stay safe. Mine are further north, Kallaroo. It's one extreme or another in OZ :o(

Ooops shaney, have you been on the spinach? I just saw your pfannis heading towards the south west, (wat, no suet?!)...never mind, with any luck they'll reach Vinny's chimbley. It's high time he came out to play :o)
Goodness me .My bro is in York .I've just emailed them .Mind you York is quite a way up .
They're not having it good at all down under .Poor buggers .I hope your son is alright Robinia .
Evenin' biddy pfannis =:0 (oh sorry, I hope that mental image didn't scare Vinny off permanently he he he). Lost my internet connection yesterday, it's been fickle and yesterday evening went dead all together. Couldn't call the provider as I couldn't google their number. This morning it was okay again but when I called them all they had to say was wasn't it dandy it was working again. They couldn't even say if there had been a general problem last night. I swear I could work at one of those call centres. Did I tell you about the girl who said "I'm not really into technology" as an explanation for why she couldn't answer my (very basic) questions.

Bought this bracelet yesterday. It's steel. Bit Paco Rabanne don't you think http://www.edbladco.c...ara-bracelet-pg-3.php

*throws Robi some Friskies* Kallaroo, love the name - I once wrote a nursery rhyme featuring a similar Australian place name with lots o OOs in it, only longer. Can't remember what it was now...?

Beautiful piccies, Neti. I don't like champagne either - but I do like the sound of your dinner party jno. But you don't do veggie stuff do you. Naah...
Very girly aren't we, showing each other our purchases all the time:)

Robi / shaney, have any of you heard anything from Oz.? I did email my nephew but it would have been 3am there, so he was either a)sleeping safely, b) couldn't get to his house ergo no computer or c) he's a mounted policeman and may be working in the chaos. I am really worried, may call England to see if they have heard.

Hi swedie, sorry am a bit pre-occupied! x
Hi Neti, couldn't you call bro, I'm sure they'd understand you doing that out of worry even if you should wake them up?
Question Author
Have called sister in England, and she is going to call in a couple of hours time cos if all is Ok they'll be sleeping and, as they are not youngsters best to let them. If all is not alright the phone won't get answered. It is apparently getting really bad where my niece and family live in Roleystone cos it's all trees and woodland, and most of Kelmscott where my bro lives is being evacuated, so I'll wait for my sister to let me know. It's her twin!
Oh dear Neti. Try to hang on to the thought that as a twin she might feel in her own body if something were terribly wrong xxxxx
Hi there. Nice bracelets Swedie.

Have been gardening most of the day - well until it went dark and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Windy but warm!!!

Hope everybody's relatives are safe. My cousin is in Freemantle. She has homes in Cheddar, somerset and Freemantle and has been flitting between them for the past 25 years!! My aunt is in NSW near Gosford and no problems yet as far as I know, though she has been on the edge of a lot of fires over the years.

Sleep tight biddie friends xx
Fremantle!!
Well I have given god a good talking to regarding friends and relis in oz. Kit that bracelet reminds me of the mini dresses that were made of loads of metal plates joined together. I went into my lovely local newsagent today to get the papers on my way back with the dogs and he had roses! plants not cut flowers so I bought 3 - a mauve climber, a mauve bush and an apricot bush. I love mauve roses....it's a bit of an aberration and they aren't the hardiest of varieties but the smell divine, kind of lemony. Anyway my 3 Rose bushes cost me a fiver, not bad eh?
Robi how are you getting on?
Bed now night all
You been on the rose water again Woofy;-) that's what I said innit: Paco Rabanne. I wore one of his perfumes - Calandre - when I was fifteen. A saleslady in Paris would choose which sample to give you and that's the one she picked for me. I loved it and I loved her being "right" if you see what I mean. Important when you're fifteen.
I've spoken to my brother Neti ,he's OK .
He's way up from Perth. .I do hope your relatives are alright and that you soon get some news .
Nite xx
Kit I am getting nominal dysphasia I think...the past is very clear but names of things and people just slip away...or maybe its the ginger beer lol. I am currently addicted to Fentiman's ginger beer...no alcohol, not very sweet and very very gingery. those pfannies look good, i wonder if Lidl stock them....tell you what is good, ikea mustard and basil sauce...also the frozen chocolate and almond tart.
I know what you mean about significant things as a teenager...I think its because we are looking to learn who we are so when someone gives you a piece of the puzzle as it were, its very important.
Its blowing a hooligan here again this morning. Shughy thinks that the rattly wind noises are monsters attacking so he is lying next to me on the settee baying at the noise...not, I suspect to protect me, but so that i can protect him.
stay warm biddies (and Vinny)

I can't get through to my bro or his wife, his answerphone says it if full of messages and cannot take anymore, so I guess he's been evacuated. Am waiting for my sister to call me as maybe she has heard. No reply to my email from nephew as yet. I am really worried, I don't think their lives are in danger but to lose all their belongings and home at this stage of their lives would be awful. And my poor neice, she and her husband only just built their home in Roleystone and they have 3 chidren with Aspergers and have saved like mad to pay for a special private school for them. Just seen it on Sky news, it devastated!
Question Author
Just spoken to sis, and she's spoken to the niece, and my bro and wife have been evacuated and are staying with their policeman son in Mount Nassewr (sp!) which is near Roleystone, and the niece is still in her house ready to flee when told, she's packed and wouldn't let her husband go to work as she'll need help with 3 kiddies and a dog. They have been told to stay until ordered to move so as not to cause havoc on the roads. Relief at the moment! The winds (caused by the cyclone in eastern Oz) seem to be slightly abating, and all should be well if the wind doesn't change direction.
that's good news neti
Bordid ..this code id be dose is gettid od be nerves now...(as is this wild weather)
snufflin' & sneezin' for England here, I must have used a whole tree's worth of tissues.

I love the bracelets Kit, in fact they're all nice but I 'specially like the bangle with a buckle and the jigsaw charm bracelet. I don't wear much jewellery in winter, it gets caught up in all the bloomin wooly layers.

I've not heard anything from Oz neti, and there's no mention of my family's area on the internet so I'll take it that all is ok.
I have found this for you and I'm hoping it's not too much information in that it's going to make you worry more but maybe youve found it yourself anyway. I'm sure they'll be ok..
