Cheers for that info Ed re Miso -i'll avoid ordering on-line now and yes i'm sure he would like red :).I'll try it myself I didnt realise how popular it was.

(only joking about Gillian btw -how minging lol)
Also, making soup is fun!
Fun...and so easy. It's more effort carrying a can home from the shop..!
You have to remember though ... some people can burn water, lol.
And if you make it...you can scoff the lot....lol
Oh, as we're likely to have more snow, this thread is sticky for 3 days (unless something better than soup turns up of course!)
Something better than soup?

Well I guess we COULD hold out for the free-sex thread ...but I won't hold my breath. :-))
I'm going to look for a rack of lamb for todays dinner. It would help if I could find my purse...

the casserole sounds good - will try and get out later as it has been very icy around here but provisions and wine needed.....beetroot soup sounds good to - ot maybe a French Onion, (with lots of toasted croutons and cheese)......thought about making a carb fest with tagliattelle, onions, bacon, leeks and baby toms in it, plus a hadful of italian pasta and a few good grinds of pepper...
I usually buy a cooked chicken from Tesco and use the carcas to make a stock for chicken soup.
And even then Naz, I would have to remove it from the Food & Drink section...

I think it will have to be soup and bread tonight, with lots of butter.

This is the problem with this section - I've not even come close to lunch and now I am thinking about what to have for dinner!
