I have a grill above oven area, which gets warm so use that, but if it is not an oven cooked meal you can always put very hot water in the washing up bowl for a few minutes.
You can also buy microwave plate warmers too.
Old-fashioned ovens used to have a warming drawer, but modern ones obviously don't. If you have a bouble oven, or a separate grill compartment, the unudes half should have enough heat in it to put the plate in and warm them up nicely.
I just put mine in the bottom of the oven for a few minutes...........
Double, of course, not "bouble..."
as i usually eat alone most of the time, i usually put my plate on top of a small pot of simmering water

Thanks to you all.
I find that using a cork table mat underneath the plate on the table helps to keep the meal warm whilst eating it.
taking the phone off the hook helps keep one's food warmer too......
I've got an electric quilt thing, you fold the plates inside it to heat them up. (PS no it's platesized, I don't stuff them in my bed...)
If I am pinging my food then I put the plates underneath the dish being pinged.
thanks for that, I have heard that electric quilts are a very bad source of thrush.......
clarify, DT, please!!
oh I see you are talking some mini-plate thing and not the bed quilts.

However, the French do like to eat a nice thrush.....une petite grive....bien cuite
LOL, sounds more like Pig in a Blanket to me....! My catz like a good thrush, too....
thats why they all fly over here - better the risk of your catz than the wrath of a Frenchman with his gun. However, given their miltary record, how the hell do they manage to shoot a thrush and miss anything bigger?
