I'm reading a history mystery and in the book the protagonist is invited to look around the house of a lawyer .It's stacked to the gunnels with various artefacts statues ,paintings etc .It reminded me of a museum somewhere in London that was in a private house but I can't remember the name of it .It's bugging me :)
Any ideas as to what it's called ?

We had thick fog here and its still a bit grey. Have just had a lovely gossip with my middle sis about our childhood.
I just had the best nights sleep I have had in ages. I bought some new sleeping tees from marks, don't laugh, its these.

the fabric is supposed to help to regulate your body temperature and it actually seems to work. I did still get the flushes but they were much less severe and no perspiration with it. The fabric is superbly soft and comfortable....definitely a win.

I'll do the other bit of Rhine for the next holiday!!!
Mr LL will have to brush up his German. German and Russian were his spoken languages until he came to the UK. Russian carried on afterwards because of the family. German is somewhat rusty to say the least.
I know no german whatsoever except for yes and no. I am OK with latin languages to a point but others baffle me completely.
Woofy. My pets would come first before holidays. We are lucky to have Master LL, but would be in the same position as you otherwise and to be honest, my pets give me great pleasure every single day of my life. Holidays can't compare.

Good day to you all. The funeral was so sad but beautiful and the church was full and even people standing around the sides and back. Had too much wine afterwards so we are having a quiet day here today!
Had an awful lot of trouble with my phone which was unlocked but it wouldn't work too well over here kept charging me for roaming on an English Orange sim, so rushed down this am to another shop and he unlocked another one there and then and it is fine, so cheaper all round!
Bit chilly so am going to put on a jumper now, and have some lunch,, Ibiza has been flooded for the last couple of days :0(

Amazed at the prices of specs ^
My varyfocals (top quality lenses) cost me £70 with absolutely lovely frames. I know he is a friend, but I would never now get my glasses made up by the optician. He fits mine perfectly and has all the right equipment too. I only get about 10% discount. His guarantees are the same as well, if there is a problem.
Funnily enough his shop is next door to the opticians/optometrists and they are all good friends.

Have I ever told you why i started wearing glasses? DH needed reading specs yonks ago...around 15 years. He went for a sight test and sais that I had better have one too. I wandered in and the optician did all the questions including do you drive and do you drive at night. He then did the sight test and said to me "did you bring your glasses?" I said "no I don't wear glasses" Shock horror. He then showed me my uncorrected sight versus corrected and I had been driving around in a fog!! It was truly amazing when I got my glasses and realised that other people could see the leaves on the trees and not just a green blur. I still live my everyday life without glasses because I can, but would't drive without them.
I think I must have been slightly older than four though because I was at infants school .
Perhaps five .I couldn't see the blackboard .Eventually I had to sit at the front and I still couldn't see it .I got told off I think because they thought I was messing about .
I also had a turn in my eye .The glasses drew it away though but I still have a slight turn . I know it's there although you would say it wasn't if you were to look at me ,but one eye drifts inwards ever so slightly .

B*****. I just typed a long thread all about my eyes and it disappeared. I am very long sighted but these days can't see anything much close up so have to wear glasses even to eat!! I now wear varifocals which were a struggle at first, but now forget I am wearing them.

Just watched Michael Portillo. He was in Budapest tonight . They've got these beautiful public baths there sort of like hot springs .Oooh it looked lovely .I sat there thinking that I could just wallow in that .It's good for arthritics apparently .
I suppose I'll have just have to make do with 600mgs and a hot water bottle .
Well done Jude ..hope you soon feel better x
