Some sort of waterproof tape ..
1128 Answers
We have water going down the back of the sink and it's running down the wall behind into the cupboard below .This is very complicated :)
The sink is only a gap of about an inch and half from the tiled splashback and has been set into a beechwood worktop .Over time this has started to go all grotty ,the grout is all nasty and any water that gets spashed around is running down the back of it and under the lip of the sink into the cupboard .
This usually only happens when Mr S is doing any washing up .I've tested it with a glass of water :)
My son is going to fit a new sink and worktop for us ....but ..
he's full of good intentions but we may have to wait a while ....
In the meantime is there some sort of waterproof tape that I can buy to shore up this gap pro tem.

Hello all, thank you all for the cake and good wishes. We had a lovely day today, went shopping and had lunch out then came home and I did some more gardening while Sis supervised. I will post pics when its finished, am doing major remodelling of the plants, moving them around and replanting then in a total of 26 large tubs and boxes, each tub or box takes 130 litres of compost (2 big sacks) to fill it, so far have done 9, got 3 more to do, then got to wait for the remainder to be delivered. It will be lovely when its finished ha ha. Anyway its all good exercise. I can't do the freezer thing because mine is a chest freezer. I do the fridge thing instead. Anyway its a tiring business being a year older Oight oight all.
Morning all...
Obviously I didn't make it back yesterday...you did notice?....hmmmm?...well, it turned out to be one of those days. It was warm here but it wasn't glorious. It went dull and very very still, 'the end is nigh' stylie, and about 6.30ish all hell broke loose and we had a torrential downpour, the road was awash and the guttering was overflowing. I didn't bother watering last night.
I'd crawled round all day with a terrible pain in my side, think I caused it myself doing that garden tidying on Thurs, and around 10ish when I switched on the kitchen light to clear up before I went to bed, heard a pop from one of the mini spots and it tripped the fuse to the downstairs lights. I didn't even begin to sort it, I've got plenty of lamps...and I won't be reaching up there today either. Oh buffer it...again.
I'm pleased your day was a good one woofy...sometimes it's tiring being one day older :)

, then for some strange reason I decided to clean out hija's room, hang up the vast amount of clothes which were on the floor, bed, dressing table, hoovered and shampooed odd spots on carpet, then I did 3 loads of washing, then all the oven and hob bits into the dishwasher, cleaned the top of cooker, swam, now waoting for dishwasher to finish!

no rain here, it seems to have brushed by just west of us but left no traces. Fortunately I have watered the lawn and flowers and eaten our first plum. The plum tree is in dire straits - it has literally hundreds of plums and the two main branches have both split under the weight; there's still enough connection for the plums on them to grow, but there is going to be massive pruning required once they've all been picked.
plum... prune... hmmm
plum... prune... hmmm
hello all...not a good day. Shughy was restless and unhappy all night, Rab was sick at 3 am because he had bolted a big piece of chew and couldn't digest it. Shughy then spent the day agonising over non existent approaching thunder and then I got a letter from the council because someone has complained about the dogs barking. It was quite a friendly standard letter but it was the last straw. happily I can't speak to the council lady till monday so I have time to calm down. Actually she only works mondays and thursdays so it can't be that urgent.
My sis has been a complete rock today, don't know what I'd do without her.
Oight oight all.
