Conservatory as a kitchen

Hello, can anyone show me any pictures where the kitchen is in a conservatory, as we are planning to do this but i cant find any designs to help me. Thank you

You probably don't see many of these because it isn't really a very good idea on thermal / insulation grounds.
Conservatories (indeed any structure with a translucent roof) lose a huge amount of heat through that roof when the temperature outside is less than the temperature inside. Even if you triple-glaze it (glass) or use quin-walled polycarbonate.
Given that the kitchen is a primary room of the house, this will either cost you a humungous amount in heating or it will be cold for 6 months of the year.
Even if you were willing to tolerate that, it will be very difficult to meet Building Regulations because of the poor thermal performance.
You could consider an 'orangery', with mainly solid and only limited translucent panelling perhaps.

Hi Buildersmate, we shouldnt have any problems with the building regs as my husband has his own building company, but its just that we havent seen a kitchen conservatory ever been built and we do know there will be problems that we will have to overcome, but i just needed to see some different layouts of kitchens, but thanks. xx

I know someone who has their conservatory as a lounge as there short on bedroom space

My daughters got a kitchen/diner in the house that she's just bought. They do have a few problems with condensation, but it has under-floor heating, so it's not that cold. It's also a good idea to have an electric cooker fitted to reduce the condensation.

Tamiira. It looks really good. However, it's a really big conservatory, it's at least 5metres long & the width of the house wide.

I would have thought that the lack of wall units might be a problem, unless there's plenty of room on the wall of the house.

Also, I'd imagine that it could become exceedingly hot cooking in a conservatory in the summer months.

I wouldn't dismiss the problem of cleaning so easily either. Window cleaners don't generally clean ceilings or roofs as far as I know. Plus, many conservatories need roof blinds in the summer which would attract grease and dirt (you just have to look on top of kitchen cupboards to see the amount of grease which collects).

Underfloor heating might be desirable for the winter months as well.
