The Wonders Of Nature
3 Answers
Several weeks ago on a bright sunny autumnal day, a good friend of mine was showing me round his Japanese style garden, filled with clumps of bamboo plus many other exotic plants, graveled areas and stone work
I was really impressed particularly by the brilliant colors of the leaves of the small maple trees, golds, oranges, scarlet and all shades between!
Are they difficult to grow, I inquired ?
Well actually they are, he replied,
"For a start the soil need to be quite acidic for them to grow well, plus careful pruning at the right time of year, they also hate root disturbance and theirs a whole range of specialist tools, developed for transplanting etc"
Some weeks later I was visiting a garden centre, and on seeing some ornamental maples, I asked one of the staff about specialist equipment, but the young guy just looked blank at me and didn't seem to have a clue what I was talking about
At this point, I decided to give my friend a quick call on my mobile phone and ask about these so called specialist tools
Oh' yeah, He said, that'l be The Acer Spades! The Acer Spades!
