Mine hasn't been very good this year, flowers and leaves are now brown, usually leave till Spring to cut back, and don't usually deadhead till then, any advice please?

I always leave my dead flower heads on until Spring and cut back then. Apparently they give some protection against frost. The leaves should drop off soon anyway.

I usually deadhead in spring. Having said that I usually cut a few heads off - leaving a good length of stem- and spray with a good quality gold spray. They make lovely Christmas decorations!
Always around March/April. Mine haven't been great this year. Maybe it was too dry and sunny for them this year.
Yep, Deadhead it in the spring, hopefully after the last of the frosts.

Thanks everyone, that's what I usually do, so will leave alone and hope it recovers over winter, usually give it a fleece coat then.
