Does anyone have one of THESE or something similar? I need something light to tidy up plants & the smaller shrubs - I get a man in for the big stuff! :o) I wondered if it will only cut very soft new growth or if it would also be handy to cut down perennials that might be a bit woody?

morning bazoom buddies....
if you think mammograms are eye watering just wait until you see breakfast...I've been in cb to do some 'shopping', saved putting the slap on to go down the co-op...
Enjoy!......<frankly I'm amazed they were that big>...

(btw Kit I had a look at the Stockholm webcam last night before I switched off....it's stunning by night)

Oh good, thank you Robinia, it's come to me now, thanks to your... eggs: borat - that's what I was... er... groping for... yesterday when describing the hen party outside my window. Thanks also for looking at Stockholm by night, I'm very proud of how beautiful this city is. (It hardly gets dark in June, though.) Finally: I meant it about the children's book, that image was so cute - it was on my mind when I woke up today!

Oooooo!!! Y'all remember Christian the Lion whom I posted here a couple of weeks ago - he was from Ilfracombe! (Or should that be frum ;-)) Says so in this newspaper article which also describes how those two guys bought him - at... Harrods?!

So what possessed them to buy a lion cub in the first place?

"A friend had been to the 'exotic animals' department at Harrods and announced, rather grandly, that she wanted a camel," says Rendall.

"To which the manager very coolly replied: 'One hump or two, madam?'

(here's the article)

Wonder what she replied.

Two would be great, of course, if you think you've got it in you.
gOOD mORNING.....!
the suns coming out ♪ yea yea yea..♪!
is that rain on the stockholm webcam...(:O)
I sat in the garden last night and had a few beers, chucked some logs on the chiminea it was so relaxing with the water fountain on..I also put these up yo
Are you okay jude, havent seen you on ere for a bit.

yoooo!
.............trollop elert.....(:O)
ha ha Vinny doesn't realize it but he is in fact making a lit runway for the sh1tehawks!
They go to bed at nine round ere....bit like some biddys hehe..!>>>whoosh>>(:O)
Whew!!! At last I've found time to catch up with your posts.
I've been really busy what with tennis, semi-final footie. (I'm cheering for Spain Vinny) and then there's going out with my friends including Mr. Tbag and of course the general jobs of everyday living. He's coming down to watch the match with me later on.
Hope you are all keeping well.
The 'funeral' I went to Kit was actually a memorial service for a friend who sadly committed suicide in the Isle of Man where he lived. His wife, poor thing, found him hanging in their house. After the service we all went to a Pub and I saw people I hadn't met for years including John Cooper the motor cycle racer. I don't know if anybody remembers him. I took some photos of the deceased with me and John was on one of them which he informed me was taken in 1965. In those days I used to go to see lots of racing and went to the Isle of Man TT races quite a lot with my husband.

On a more cheerful note I'm really enjoying the tennis. Are there any of you Biddies as keen as me on it? I don't think Murray has a chance of winning it if Federer gets through to the final which is almost a certainty. Then there's Nadal - He could win it too..
How about you Vin you interested.
I've also been on Cat duty this week as my son and his wife are in Menorca. She really dislikes me (The cat not my daughter-in-law) She hisses me out of the house when I'm leaving as if to say, "now you've done what you came to do you can bu??er off"!
I'm off now to tidy up before T'bag gets here. Still at that stage!. Lol!!

See yer later 'gater(s) :o)

Tales From Brokevac Mountain

Chapter One

Well, hello all,
Now back from THE Spanish island and thought you would be anxious to know that Neti is well, not undernourished or starving, and certainly not showing signs of under active thyroid. Far from it! And, the complained about sunshine and heat was wonderful even for a freckly person like me! Of course I put plenty of slap on ,Oreal naturally - because I'm worth it! Now, back to the washing.
Oh get her!!
Marm you must come here more often and tell us the truth behind the headlines!

Good to see you Jude, sad tale about your friend but still nice to have you here - don't be such a stranger. I've been picturing your daughter-in-law hissing you out of the house, ha ha ha...

...ha ha ha ha ha ha ha hahaha ha ha ha, oh Robinia you've really done it now, I'll be wanting a new chapter every day, you do understand that don't you. Truly there was something so moving about that georgefarm, I swear it will make you a millionaire if only you'll believe me and why shouldn't you trust my instincts, after all this is my mentor

is there an exorcist in the house?

I have two glum men in the front room .....not only have Germany lost but they have forgotten to record The Royal for me ...so they will be even glummer any minute now ...
Thank the lord that's all over ...
Hope you are all OK ..nice to see you Jude ..I was beginning to think you had done a moonlight with Tbag :)

Sooooo...it's all a sympathy ploy is it Neti ..and I was sending you hampers ..I'll have that tin of Old Oak Ham back please :))

Morning all - well, the specialist says it's underactive, so who am I to argue. Have finally got an appointment with the Endocrine specialist on 22nd July so hopefully all will be revealed. I am, actually very waiflike (err?) and extremely malnourished, that marm defo needs glasses!!

Stinking hot here again.

Yay way to go Espaa!! Actually I felt sorry for Germany cos their No 7 player was brilliant, seemed to do it all on his own, but someone has to lose. The celebrations went on here for hours after and the noise could be heard over Mr N's snoring!!
