Looking a new kitchen as some of you know, had the B&Q man round today & he asked me what sink I wanted, a normal or a one & a half bowl sink.

I've only ever had a normal single bowl sink so asked him what the half bowl sink was for. I thought it may be for rinsing maybe but he said it was to keep your cloths in!

I dont know if I am right about the rinsing but i'm sure its not for putting your cloths in, is it?

Correct :o). Almost as good as a boil wash. I just hang it over the top rack.
I agree about the worktops thing too Miss Meg. You can wring out a dish cloth too without it falling to pieces. I find those J cloth things really unsavoury.
I don't have a dishwasher - just Hubby! ;)
J-cloths - ugh.
I don't do J clothes, ugh!! Mental note to but the dish clothes in the dish washer tomorrow, sounds a good idea, thanks!!
Just make sure it is a place where the blades can't get to it Miss Meg. Mine just hangs on the top rain of the top pull out section.

When I had one I used it for food prep especially veggies see if they do the strainer rack for it good for stopping peelings clogging the pluhole
I have a Belfast sink. It's great.

I use J clothes and cotton clothes. The J clothes are used to wipe things down and the cotton cloths are used to clean. They all get thrown in the wash at the end of the day.
My dishcloth gets an overnight soak every night in part washing up liquid and part bleach
