I have four mock orange shrubs in the garden which rarely come into flower as the pigeons peck all the buds off, leaving bare branches. A few minutes ago, I disturbed seven pigeons on one shrub. For the first time, they have also attacked the plum tree. Is there anything I can do to prevent this yearly annihilation of these shrubs. I know what I would love to do!
The pigeons are probably attracted by the sweet smelling blossoms, which remind me of bubble gum.
You could try hanging some reflective things in the shrubs, like old c.d's or d.v,d's, which might scare them off. Also those toy windmills might scare them, especially it you move them about occasionally.
