Cordyline

I have a cordyline growing in the front garden very near
to the drive way, trouble is, it is about 26ft tall and at the bottom 3 more branches. Do i need to worry about it breaking off at the top in high winds, and causing damage to property and cars

I dont think you need to worry too much, as they are often planted in rather windy coastal areas (Torbay is a good example) and tend to be capable of resisting driving gales and rain. If you are worred though you could always cut it down and allow those branches growing from the base to take over. Good Luck Tbird+

Hello thunderbird, sorry i`m so late in responding to your
advice on cordyline, (technical hitch)
I`m very reluctant to chop about 6ft off the top, but
i feel the risk is too much for me, but i think you are
right, it may grow into better cordyline with the two
new branches already growing, thanks again for
