My toilet bowl has grey stripes down it caused by calcium in the water . I have tried bleach, cillit bang, lemon juice & vinegar as well as usual toilet cleaners, but nothing will remove this unsightly staining, can anyone offer any advice please?

Try using limescale remover.
or some wirewool and a pair of rubber gloves
Wirewool will take the shine off it !
I had the same problem - buy a bottle of coke (full fat!) - 2 litres (own brand will do nicely) and tip it down the loo and leave it as long as possible - scarily this will get rid of all the limescale!
My wife uses Harpic Limescale remover, which works a treat!
