What Do I Do If My Work Don't Reply?

I've sent the care home an email asking if I can change my days as my new job days were only available Monday yo Wednesday. What do I do they haven't replied to my email.

It was like 2 months they reduced them then one girl got sacked and they got someone else now.

Abbey, whatever the details, you went down to 8/9 hours a week and started looking for another job... settling on another part-time job in Home Bargains. That turned out... not very well. I know you went straight after another cleaning job, another part-time one - but that didn't work out great either, as you wanted the care home to rearrange things to suit you. I think you'll need to make a plan - go after jobs that you actually want and think that you can do... and then make a go of whatever it is!

Thanks, Abbey - and I can't help wishing you'd thought that way sooner (like when the care home cut your hours). Please don't take any more of the part time or 'this'll do' jobs, they've got you nowhere.

No full time in warehouse maybe library or cleaning in a home (full time)

Abbey, why don't you make yourself such a good, valued employee that they'd be keen to keep you? You've done only a few days, so there's still time for you to make a good impression, show what you're capable of.

No but what can I do to plead for my job back?

You can't really do anything , they've told you they can't work round you so you have to accept that and move on. Do the best you can do at your new job and you may get more hours there

Abbey, I don't think there's anything you can actually do. For reasons of their own, the care home do not want to employ you full-time. That was why they cut your hours, and nothing you have done since has persuaded them that this was a wrong decision or that you are now a far better employee.

Abbey, does the care home still want you to work on Fridays and are they paying you so far ?

13.15 Maybe the Manager is working with you today to see for herself how well you perform?  How many houses did you clean as you seem to have finished work early.

The manager wanted to see how I did. They have given me training cards to take to houses but manager does not want to give up on me but I feel stupid ruining it with the care but they said no point me working there just on a friday for 3 hours.

Abbey, I think any employer wouldn't feel it was worth keeping someone on for just three hours a week - and especially not if they knew that someone would be off like a shot if another proper (ie full-time) job came up! You can't blame them - and you were the one who put yourself in the position of being available for such limited hours.

I know but should I have kept Monday Wednesday and Friday and did Tuesday and Thursday at the other job.

Well there was a mixed communication with the care home as boss wasn't in last week for me to speak to her I didn't know I was mean to ring her as she said to see her last Friday.
