What Do I Do If My Work Don't Reply?

I've sent the care home an email asking if I can change my days as my new job days were only available Monday yo Wednesday. What do I do they haven't replied to my email.

Yes you keep telling us that Abbey but I'm not sure why. It's done. They don't seem to want you as an employee and have replaced you.

So make a go of this cleaning job and if you need more money try McDonald's again until the new year while you decide what your career aspirations and options are.

That would be for Thursday and Friday but I like having my nails done.

Well since hiring me new ones either last a day, not turn up or was sacked don't know how this one will work out.

Oh I hadn't realised you need days off for getting your nails done! And you have driving lessons, bottomless brunches, rugby etc to fit in at weekends, even though places will be crying out for Saturday staff.

You really need to decide what your priorities are. Maybe even chat to your mum.

Can you not have your nails done another day? You may need to if you're looking for a full-time job.

That's there problem. They know you want more hours but they don't seem to want you. All you can do is do a great job there on Friday (if they don't send you home with a  p45) and hope they think "you know what...she's improved a lot. let's consider offering more hours "

Well I think I've seen it all now, you don't want to work certain days because you like getting your nails done, unbelievable.

No I don't care what days I have them done would only be weekends if I worked Monday to Friday 9-5 or when I'm off. They already they will send my p45 with next wages.

Abbey, you said a little earlier that there must be 'something for me'. It must be over 10 years since you left school, do you not think you should have found the 'something' by now? Not everyone gets their ideal job right away,of course,  but you seem to have spent an awful lot of time getting nowhere... and still don't have any real plan for how to change things.

Yes I was in education when I left school then went housekeeping and mcdonalds since worked in b&m over a year then I'm admin for 4 months then agencies.

I left b&m for an admin job as they threatened to reduce my hours because I wanted to change them as I was moving away and couldn't get home at night.

Is it best I quit now as today supervisor keeps I haven't done something when I haven't so doesn't like my work.

So then you'll have no job and no income at all. You'll have to tell your mum then

You can then focus fully on getting a job with more hours and more suited to your abilities/skills.

I don't understand why you did well enough at B&M to last a year, yet you couldn't manage more than a few weeks at HB.

Abbey, even though you said you liked cleaning, I think you'll have to accept that you're not very good at it! The care home and the new place have both found your work unsatisfactory. You'll need to think again about your prospects.

Tbh I don't think I enjoy it like the care home. I cleaned in McDonald's for 5 years

Where does your mother work Abbey? Are there never any vacancies you could apply for?

Abbey, you said yesterday that you were going to look for a new job - in a warehouse maybe, or library, or cleaning in a home, full-time. I think you shouldn't waste your time on the last of these - you've obviously struggled with the part-time cleaning jobs, I don't think you'd cope with doing it full-time. Put all your effort into finding a job that is more likely to suit you and your capabilities.

Is this the cleaning job? Is this  your basic problem? Do instructions "go over your head"?...as your mind wanders?
