Abbey, in view of how badly the past two or three years have gone, job-wise, would you not consider it a bit of a relief to go back to MacDonalds where you know you can do the work?

Question Author

I just don't like working night and it's now coming to the winter.

I served a customer in selco that use to come to mcdonald's and he said atleast you got a proper job.

That customer is an idiot because a proper job is one that pays a wage!

Question Author

Oh when talking of glad I'm single my friend as I mentioned from other night said if I keep at healthy eating I will meet Mr right.

Question Author

DIDL I'm embarrassed telling people I work in McDonald's

Abbey,  as it is at the moment you get a job but you don't really care about doing a 'good' job - you just want the money at the end of the week or month.   I've worked countless hours after my working day should have been over simply because the job needed to be done - and I've gone home from the office late at night absolutely shattered - and I'm not the only one who's done that.   That's what people who care about the job - and who value their own worth - do.  You really need to have a serious think about what you want and make a concerted effort to re-adjust your whole attitude to work.  That would hopefully help you towards a new beginning.

what a strange thing to be embarrassed about.

Abbey, that customer didn't know that you didn't have a full-time job, didn't know the struggles (with the codes) you had initially, didn't know that your hours had been cut because of this, didn't know that Selco weren't going to give you full-time hours... Yes, it looked like you had a proper job, and I'm sure you wished that were true!

Why?

Abbey if you are suffering more frequent seizures you absolutely should not be drinking to excess if at all

Question Author

I did at the time as it was full time.

Mcdonalds wasn't guaranteed hours and paid fortnightly so money wasn't great.

Question Author

DIDL Becuase people see it as a school leavers job. I worked at b&m for 1 year and a half.

I'm not having seizures now since the one from 2 months ago.

Abbey, there's nothing wrong with working at McDonald's.  It's a good company.

Abbey, as Naomi has said, we have all worked over our hours to get things done, help others out or help the company out.

The management scheme at McDonalds is highly rated as is the benefits package.

Our local has a wide range of ages working there from school leavers to a retired gentleman who wants to boost his income.

I had this email

This role is working 2pm-10pm Monday - Friday (40 hours a week)

Paying £11.44 an hour.

Abbey, you've obviously been embarrassed for most of the last couple of years - you've mentioned that you don't tell your friends where you're working in case 'it doesn't work out', and that's not great (for your mental health if that's concerning you).

But you don't want to work at night, especially now winter is coming.

Just think how that would affect your social life!

Question Author

I get that I'm just worried about being judged.

Why would it effect my social life?

Being judged by whom?
