I can see that, but Abbey seems unable to tell anyone, not just her Mum- she hides a lot of things from everyone about work (and maybe other things), and often asks what she should tell everyone, not just her Mum.
Yes, I think Abbey is a real person but I tend to think she is not as stupid as she makes out or as indecisive. I think she is probably quite an educated person who is 'having a larf' at all the Abers who give advice, etc. She sits and thinks up what to ask about next whether it be work, clothes, social, guys, etc. I, and I'm sure the rest of Abers, could communicate in the way she does if we wanted to ... weather it would be rite or rong?
Naomi, you think you are being kind to Abbey but you are actually giving advice without knowing her personally and you don't know if you are giving her the correct advice.
Unless you are a trained professional in the illness that Abbey has, then you and all the rest of us should be telling her to seek that advice elsewhere.
Yes Selco Cardiff are most definitely still advertising for jobs as and when when they need them, see below link showing their advert from today 10th Nov . I think we all knew that you were being told no overtime or extra hours etc as Selco were trying to be kind or less harsh. But they meant that they were not going to offer you anything more than 10 hours per week for cleaning, and hoped you would stay as they would struggle to find anyone else who was willing to survive on just 10 hours per week.
You should realise that you are turning down a full time job offer at a time when most companies are now going to be cutting back on staff after recent budget announcement. You are not going to be given more hours at Selco as they only want you for cleaning and they only need this job to take 10 hours per week.
If you happy on this for future and it more comfortable for you then that is what you should do, but Bailey's did seem like good opportunity. It is nothing to do with staff, if the management sell close to best before dates. I was in garden centre today and they were selling cheap chocs for 95p but best before date was already out of date. That is not your concern as an employee.
