the person DIDNT do it so why all the bad mouthing? i asked a simple question as to an outcome, people do get found guilty for crimes they didnt commit. whats happened to innocent until proven guilty, good job some of you lot werent on the bench or the person would have been hung by now!
i dont think you are being badmouthed gina, just your scumbag of a mate wizard, lets hope when he gets to pubety and moves out of his scumbag council estate he might get some respect for himself and other people.
Question Author
ok thanks norman
Oh dear! Nice thread to get up to! However - must just say Wizard, that just a "scratch" would be pretty expensive to repair on my car, and those who do it on purpose should be made to pay for it.
I wasnt doubting you Gina I just find it incredibly hard to believe that a you can be charged with something and taken to court with no witnesses
Question Author
rev, the owner of the car found their car had been keyed, out of spite for another person they didnt like, told police that when the other person was at the house they had seen the person do it and the police took it further
Madness

Police acting on someone telling tales
As I understand the law and the process for charging someone, it would be unlikely to go to court without witnesses, as all cases that go to court must go throught the CPS first and they have to be satisfied that there is a likely chane of conviction.
Therefore, perhaps your 'mate' is being less than truthful about the circumstances?
Question Author
well it happens, the police obviously thought the person was of good character, just goes to show
Seems mad though that I could just grass someone up, no witnesses, the police charge the person with no evidence and it goes to court.

I've reported drug dealers openly dealing on a street corner by me and have the Police done anything?
Question Author
yes i agree it does seem mad but that is our legal system for you, it must have cost a fortune to go to court all because someone was trying to get back at someone else, childish
i agree with you gina we come on here for a decent answer not to be attacked ourselves some people io think just like to have a pop - sadly but others do give great advice which is why i keep coming back good luck
