Actually, I don't think that's relevant, gollob. That kind of decision needs to be rational and sensible..... not made by people who are justifiably angry and upset.
In light of the furore the initial abduction caused in the capital I would opine that it is very relevant
Look at the predatory murder of the young teacher only days ago !
Every male on here must at some point following a heinous crime such as this have it cross their mind:
What if this sort of horror happened to my mum
My sister
My aunt
My daughter
Her family will have the mental torture of guessing the unimaginable terror as she was defiled prior to having the life squeezed out of her
Imagine your female relative undergoing such fear as they kicked and begged for their life ?
Now tell me again why Couzens does not deserve to die by lethal injection ?

We can alll argue till the cows come home about who might "deserve" this and that, but as previously stated, for many reasond, capital punishment is not returning, so it's all irrelevant, regardless of the feelings.
As pixie says are not, and should not, be passed on emotion. Which is largely what this is about. I'm at a loss to see why, objectively, WC's crime is any more deserving of the death penalty than any other murder, understandable as the feelings it inspires are.

gollob - // I just wonder if all the people on here against CP would have the same opinion if the victim was a daughter or sister of their family. Lets hear from you //
Sooner or later, this question is always raised on a thread like this, and my answer is always the same -
I would probably change my view to one in favour of CP, and please can I pull the lever / throw the switch, cut him up with a rusty tin lid etc etc ......
But until that happens, my view is objective, and will remain so.

What a murderer 'deserves' is determined by the amount of emotional involvement of the person making the decision.
That's why laws are written and enacted by peole who are not emotionally involved - because emotion does not make good laws.
