David Tennant will be seen raping his wife in a horrific 70-second scene in The Politician’s Husband.
The scene will be shown just after the 9p.m. watershed.

Yes, i do understand the concept of rape and i am one of the few who believe in degrees of rape.
andy-hughes....you only quoted one of my examples.
The tying to the bed wasn't rape and was her words......not mine.
The other concerning Barry White made it clear to me that she meant "rape" by whichever definition you would apply.
As for anecdotal evidence, women have expressed the fantasy of rape again by whatever definition you would apply.
mamy....yes i did carry out the act.......and by certain definitions that have come to light recently, i do now consider myself a rapist.

/Oh yes, Zeuhl you asked why I used the word sadistic.
It wasn't mine - it is a sub-headline from an article in the 'awfu;' gutter press'./
In fact sir.prize it was 'yours'
because you didn't put it in quote marks which would have indicated you were repeating something from a source other than yourself
And thank you for reinforcing my central point sir.prize
/Well - I've sat back and watched Zeuhl have his anticipated rant. He sure scattered his toys around. Was it all necessary Zeuhl?/
The answer is of course, No
My 'rant' ( that'll be my forceful and confident articulation of well supported views and ideas) was not 'necessary'
I would respectfully suggest that none of the posts on AB are 'necessary'
That is a silly and pointless criterion by which to judge them (or scenes in dramas)
We post/rant because we want to
and others can choose to view them or not; enjoy them or not; react to them or not ...
'Necessary' is by definition not a meaningful measure for any of this

if anyone wants to know why all these historic sexual attack cases weren't reported all those years ago, you can see a GP-of-that-time's views.
few people reported things when they thought they wouldn't be believed. I, for one, am pleased that people now think it's safe to report, and that their allegations will be considered.
