James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

It's raining heavily here and I'm not anywhere near a safari .
A really grim day out there, throwing it down atm.
Hope you're all ok. Nothing doing here.Waiting for a call from the physio dept. They were supposed to ring yesterday but didn't.
I have a list of stuff to do but can't gather any enthusiasm to do it.
Stop picking your nose Neti ...I'm watching you :)

wet muggy and black here. Decorations going up slowly. Not much else to report.
Lovely day here. Its a bridge between 2 fiestas so lots of shops closed.
Afternoon all...very blustery here.

Oh no neti, not square nails, I really don't like them. I've never understood how they became fashionable...I s'pose they come in handy as mini shovels.

Don't eat the red bananas jno. When my nephew was on safari earlier this year he had a bad reaction to one but had always been ok with yellow ones. I don't know if he's sensitive to those now.

Hope you're feeling a bit better shaney. I think I'll go and pick my 'scription up, apparently tomorrow's going to feel like Siberia. You'll find me in the tortoise snuggle box.
Robi Im not too fond of square nails either but hopefully they'll grow out quickly, they're not too bad. What is happening in Holby? I am totally confused! Jac having a breakdown, panic everywhere I am totally lost!
Shaney The Crown starts tomoorow but you'll have to wait a while!
Question Author
robi I don't think you will want to be in with the torts....they have to stay around 5deg c....no higher than 8 and now lower than 3....decidedly nippy.
Question Author
I am drinking Galliano Ristretto liqueur.....it has made aaaaaaall my troubles go away.
Who'd have thought summer in Africa could be so damp and cold? Plus I have managed to lose my camera in the jungle with all my holiday photos on it, so am feeling distinctly despondent. Flying home tomorrow night memoryless. I gather it's going to be nippy when we land at 5am. They don't seem to have Galliano here but have been drowning my sorrows in rum and diet Cokes.
Question Author
camera loss stinks Jno
Galliano! That brings back some memories of our courting days!
Robi what was that Holby about? I actually cried for Essie. I never for one moment thought it was Fredrik!
Oh jnl what are you like? You are you like? Intrepid explorers hang cameras round necks!
Question Author
Its the coffee flavoured one Neti. I also like the two yellow liqueurs...one has vanilla in it, one is more herbal.
Question Author
bump?
Ooh Galliano, lime and lemonade .One of my favourites back in the day.
I could do with a drink actually but dare not with painkillers. Still no call from physio people ..tut,so I've asked for some more happy pills on my repeat scrip.
Oh what a shame Jno.Will you be able to claim on your insurance? Doesn't make up for the loss of the pictures though.Perhaps someone may find it ,you never know.
Yes ,you'll need a woolly *** in the morning. Bloomin' cold here with a real feel of minus 5 and it's supposed to drop even more plus we've got flood alerts as an extra bonus.
Night all ,keep warm.
How ridiculous ....the starred out word is an informal name for a hat ...t itfer.
Had the guardia at home today. Hes going to live here and look after Mousy although
Admits hes worried she may peg it while hes here. I said put her in freezer!! It makes me realise how tatty and slightly grubby my house is!! These nails are nice but drivimg me mad as cannot type with them.
Yay, my camera has been found wrecked and probably stood on by an elephant but the memory card is fine. Have been driven 350 miles to the airport and waiting for another unpleasant BA flight overnight.
Ah well done jno, amd there was I wondering if the roll of film was ok!!! D'oh!
Question Author
Delighted that you have your memory card Jno Its one thing I like about taking iphone pics is they get bumped straight to the cloud so they can't get lost. Neti if your house is only slightly tatty I wouldn't agonise. Mine looks like the corporation dump with fairy lights on
That's good news Jno .I told you it would be found .
It's perishing out there but it was a nice bright day.
Accu says its' minus 8 and I quite believe them.Nothing doing here but I've brought the decorations down and they're in the back room until I get motivated, which could be on Sunday or another day during the week.I must attend to my correspondence tomorrow.

Have you had those false nails done Neti ? File them down a bit into sqovals.Round the square edges off.
A friend of mine had them and was always having to have them filled in .She spent a fortune in nail bars.It ruined her natural nails after a while. They went all soggy underneath and took ages to grow out.
Well I think it's Ovaltine , hwb and snuggle in bed with a book.
Have a safe flight Jno. Night all.

First forecast sub zero night of the year here so I am staying up to do 2 hour checks and make sure that the heating works. I am always happier when its over.
