James is pulling Louis Smith's leg and he is bravely trying some fairly strange new (for him) foods. Poor soul even got food hell (squid) instead of food heaven (chicken) and then James showed him the beautifully cooked chicken and whisked it away again and made him eat the squid. What a nice young man!

Oh dear all town halls on island have issued warnings about storm ana due to hit the island at 6am tomorrow with 100m winds. Weve been instructed to stay indoors and keep away from the coast, to bring in all outside furniture ( ill wait and see before i hump the red xmas tree in). We are not to panic, we are to stay calm. I will need a Red Cross parcel please! I bet there will be a few satellite dishes flying about which is why we have to keep off the streets. The flats at the back have a huge flimsy 30ft tv aerial! If it goes itll smash through our house no dojbt.
I found it . The box was marked 'tablecloths' which had belonged to my mum in law and which I gave to a charity shop ...lol.
I weeded a lot of stuff out last year ,mostly tat.I can't be doing with all that clutter these days.Anyway the tree is up and a few bits dotted about, mainly nice ornaments that come from Germany which we've had for years and are too precious to get rid of and lots of tea lights.Of course I had to untangle the tree lights which I do every year,'cos I just bung them back in the box any old how.Much muttering under my breath and the odd swear word :)
All looks nice and cosy now.

Morning
Horrible here, dark windy very windy
Have taken tree and outside decs down
Arch blinds blew down the land so have retrieved them. Sirens going off everywhere. Damp but too blowy to rain.
Shaney I started watching the Crown
.
it's been raining/sleeting all morning and washed away the snow. Now it's stopped I may be able to go out and post Xmas presents round the world, though some of them may not arrive until Ethiopian Xmas.

mine aren't even packaged yet. Was planning to do it today but nice window cleaner has arrived to do my gutters. They need doing and I am glad he has come but the dogs go from window to window barking at the ladder and I need to focus on them to stop it getting out of hand.
Ive nroken a tooth was only eating crackers soft cheese and smoked salmon

Ibiza town street decs have blown down onto streets and terraces. All bonfires banned the moment. Seems calmer. I went out amd honestly it was hard keeping upright. Even had a coffee and the council were lopping off tree branches, then it started to rain and i had to go inside. Had a haircut whilst I was out
My xmas tree star burnt out so had to buy another.
Jno i look forward to one of your parcels, foreign being the clue!!!

Shaney dont worry as when I put it on usb the subs didnt get on it!
It's been a grim dark day here. Rain ,hail snow mixed in and blowing a gale, all bloody day long.Freezing cold out there.
That sounds horrendous Neti ,I hope it's calmed down now. Don't mention teeth.I've got a wobbler but am trying to hang onto it until after Christmas. It's not painful, just wobbly.
Hope you're all keeping warm .

another nasty cold night here....colder than saturday....I will be on tortoise watch again as have added covers to their boxes and want to be sure its enough
I've replied to your mail Neti .Thank you.
Did you see that Olivia Coleman is going to play her as she ages. I wonder who they'll get to play the older Prince Philip.
Woofy ,you're a tortoise whisperer :)
Must be a worry though in this cold weather.
Morning all
Another raw cold day.Light dusting of snowy bits here and there and to top off yesterdays foul weather it was thundering late last night.
Not much you can do in this so best to stay in the warm.
Hope you're all ok.
Afternoon all...where do the days go? I wish I could say I've been hibernating, I hate these sub zero temperatures. Woke up to a white world on Sunday which looked lovely but that's all, ugh! I'm hoping it thaws tonight, I felt really grim yesterday, sickly headache and so tired. I've got a Sainsburys order on the way thank goodness....I love meals on wheels :)

I really must get tough with myself, cut my emotional ties to tat and have a good sort out after Christmas. I've bought my sis a handbag, I might tip all the clutter out of some of mine into it before I wrap it. :)

Nothing of interest to report...small tree's up, cards were posted last week. Hope you're all ok. Ding dong merrily....

bah, woke up with a yell with cramp in my leg, went to sleep in the spare room so as not to disturb OH any further, then got up an hour early because the clock in there is still on summer time.

I wonder how the day will go from here.
