Khandro, no i don't. The majority of those taking the knee are not advocating defunding of the police or rioting. Just the sinister few who have hijacked the BLM movement to their own ends.

Another demand is “the retroactive decriminalization, immediate release and record ­expungement of all drug-related offenses and prostitution and reparations for the devastating impact of the ‘war on drugs’ and criminalization of prostitution.”

Then there's the charming idea of de-funding the police & calls for compensation for slavery.

I’m with Ken. I’ll watch it because I usually enjoy watching Dawn French in most things, and The Vicar of Dibbly is funny.
And then I’ll make my mind up about it.

comedy has thrown up some hand grenades in the past Bobbi, maybe not light entertainment but there have been politcial comedians for years. One doesn't as they say have to watch, i was quitie looking forward to it to be fair

My feeling is it would be a shame to miss out on a potentially funny programme just because there’s a bit of it you don’t like or agree with.
Telly has been so full of repeats and rehashes, it may make a bit of an interesting change.

It isn't a programme I watch although I gather from what you are saying it's a comedy programme. perhaps the BLM sketch might be part of the comedy ? Perhaps she gets down on one knee and can't get up again, or something similar.

They seem to have got that wrong with some obviously.

I'll bet the sections on lockdown, virtual quizzing and too much alcohol will be funny too.

The show has been in bother before, I hope there isn't a concerted campaign to get it in hot water again but am sure the writers will cope.

it has always been "political" hasn't it?
In the sense that it tackled the issue of women in the clergy and the battle they face.
I remember in the very first episode when they wrote to the bishop asking for a woman not to be foisted on them
