^ Our forefathers also ensured we have a right to freedom of speech, Bobbi. And that includes criticising the government of the day, irrespective of whether or not we used our right to vote.

Does this PM, this Chancellor or this government have ANY idea what they’re doing?
It’s like they’re enjoying signing their own death warrant.
They’re finished. One or both will be out of a job by Xmas, it’s time for a GE and let the electorate put them out of our and their misery.

The only froth they stimulated was bankers bonuses and the earnings of the richest people in the country.
Well, and Kwarteng’s former boss making a fortune in one day by doing the patriotic thing and betting against the Pound as it plummeted to a record low.
Nice get-rich-quick scheme for all the hedge fund managers before he leaves office in record time?
When they made reference to a ‘useful idiot’ I’m unsure if they actually meant Kwarteng or his boss?

//what would Labour do if in power...... i confess to disliking SKS and most of the team but that aside please explain how Labour will make the changes that are needed//
I’ve no real idea, they’ve not published a manifesto yet but whatever it is it’ll be deemed more competent than the present shower.
I take the same stance as New Judge did over Brexit i.e. I have no affiliation to any one party, I just want a government with a semblance of integrity, decency, honesty and a at least an air of knowing in which direction they’re headed. That can only be achieved by starting with removing the Tories.
As I’ve always maintained, whoever that is will not have a difficult act to follow, certainly not the last 3 years especially, will they?

//why are you so anti to the Tories, and why does what people earn matter to you personally. If someone earns a million, good luck to them i say. they pay a huge amount in taxes.//
Ah, you need to stop listening to the sheeple.
I’ve no problem with anyone being a millionaire, good luck to them. Yes, they pay a lot in tax but if you’re earning that much you’re not exactly struggling, are you? But when a government then decides to increase your wealth whilst driving down pay of ordinary folk it tends to grate a bit. You do understand that, don’t you?
Watching the super-wealthy gain more from reducing their tax as working people struggle to pay mortgages and deal with rising fuel and food costs seems dreadfully unfair, that’s why it’s caused such a furore, even or actually especially so amongst Tory back benchers.

//so no affiliation to any party, which means perhaps you don't vote?//
It’s known on here that I’ve never voted, was never really politically aware until Johnson took power, always been indifferent about it.
But once I became aware of just how corrupt and inept he and his government were I started taking more than a passing interest.
Any problem in wanting a government with the attributes I mentioned?

They had no choice.
Facing open rebelion from not just the back benches but high profile former ministers. Michael Gove flatly stating: "it's wrong"
Borrowing - at very high rates - to cut taxes for the wealthier members of society at a time of hardship for most people is an insane thing to do. It's probable that they won;t survive this, but wqho knows..

If they ‘get it’ maybe they’ll listen to the polls and have a GE, let the public get back to choosing the PM because the Tory party aka the Werthers Warriors have clearly chosen someone who would be out of her depth in a car park puddle.
