why is going to the cinema so expensive in the uk? i've just been to south africa where a cinema ticket is R30 (about �3). in the town where my cousin goes to uni a ticket is R14 and R7 on tuesdays!

What about the cost of living.

If the average wage is say �200 per week then �3 for a cinema ticket is much expensive than here.

Thats quite dear when you consider that an average ticket only costs about �5-6 in this country..
