Did Kylie Minogue ever sing any songs from the Australian Police series "The Water Rats" and if so, what are they?

ha ha kit!!
Having a displacement activity day here today, washing and repairing a vertical blind that the dogs have trashed...gonna read the thread now and click on all the links, lovely to have time again!!
Shaney, my Dad was in an Orphanage in Leeds, when it came time to apprentice him to something, they sent him out on the trawlers. He did one trip and hated it so he ended up farming. One day he went into market on the cart and they were recruiting for the army so he lied about his age and signed up...never went back to the orphanage, met my Mum in the army, came down south and that was that!
Hi woofster, I'm not sure what displacement activity is but I think it may be what my vertebrae are doing...

Erm, I'll just leave 6 CDs here, in case some hippie wanders past: back to yasgur's farm
A passing hippie crabs the CD's... I was ere I was yo ..aftty noon..(:O)
Yeah I recall Vinny you told us about it once and one of the things you described has turned into a lasting, mental image for me. You were riding in a car, getting there, and when you reached the top of the hills you saw all those people... wish i'd been there

So hot here today. Had a terrific time yesterday at a family bbq but there were so many extended members (in-laws) and neighbours the place was heaving. The food was terrific and so many kiddies and not one fight or arguement really nice day.Had a dreadful biddy moment this lunch time, mys sis and I were out - guess what - yes shopping, and I had an awful feeling that my flight was tonight, so we rushed home to check on internet and relief it's tomoorow, after turning off computer I then had a panic that the was at 7am and not 7pm, so on with the lappy again only took ages to connect , relief, it's tomorow evening . I did this once before only got ready to leave 2 days before flight - feel so silly but what a panic!
Evening pop-pickers.
a little bit of taj mahal to send you to sleepnighty night :O)
blimey, Vienna was expensive - apparently the pound is about equal to the euro again. Fortunately I have a nifty little VIP card - I could tell you where to get them but I'd have to kill you - that gave me free entry to palaces and art galleries and so on, and saved me a fortune.

Presumably, by contrast, neti has found Britain very cheap this time?

i think she could be on her way to the wrong airport even as we speak jno ;-)

Am at Gatwick Airport as I type, waiting for take off at 18.55, did more shopping today, and yes it is so much cheaper here than Spain. Bought daughter a new mobile but had to get refund as couldn't get it unlocked and they had said that it could be!! Just went throught security and they laughed when they saw a set of saucepans and an elecgtric egg boiler in my handluggage. Hey ho very sad to be leaving my sisters. Back to the blasted heat.
Yoo hoo, Are you still there Neti?

(I often wonder how many people spy on us in these Biddiethreads but pretend they are not interested!! ) They can easily find us - just a thought!!)

Still doing my rain dance with no results. Wednesday promises to be wet - I will believe it when it happens.

hello all, its just hot and drippy humid here. Bit of fun yesterday morning, I take the boys out reall early, about 04.45 to get them a good run before the heat and the idiots. had just got back to the car and put them in when a police car turned up with policeman and doggy. I grinned at him, he grinned at me, made sure mine were secure then let his out. Dear Rab (who is a big woos but thinks he's my protector, did his "come and ave a go if you think you're ard enough" act in the back of the car..honestly I think that boy has a death wish. Policeman laughed!
morning...just a quick hello from this bl00dy green & pleasant land

greeeen intit??

more greeeeen

there's only so much green a man can stand, I'm off

oh, a lovely stroll around the estate of Chateau Robinia... I look forward to seeing the maze and the haha.

We are also green thanks to the neighbour's swimming pool pouring water onto our lawn.... only we have now confirmed it's not the swimming pool at all because he came home briefly and emptied it, yet there is still (for a day ro two at a time) sodden ground leading up to the fence by the pool and you can see the stains on the bricks at the bottom of the fence where the water is coming through plus the moss on the path...

So where is it coming from? Gah. All I can think is the underground water pipes leading to the pool have split (perhaps our oak tree's roots are to blame?) but how I could find out such a thing I can't think for the life of me. Water diviner? Double gah.

And if that's not bad enough there have been shredded nappies on the lawn for the last couple of days... foxes I suppose but I can't see where they're coming in, have never seen the animals themselves (they seem to have moved out from the wilderness next door, not the swimming p[ool next door, the other one)...

Verily it is hard being a landowner round here. And one of my remaining teeth is wobbling so it's dentist day again.

Apart from that, hello everybody.
I had the shredded nappies too jno...ugh! I found out who was opening the door & throwing them outside in the direction of the wheelie, presumably to pick them up & put in it the next morning/when she was dressed. Keep an eye on the most stunning looking woman in the biggest house in your area....mmmmm? Filthy.

Morning all
Very nice Robinia lovely and green :)
Hope you got home safely Neti and nice to see you Jno sounds as if you had a nice time .Sorry you are waterlogged . It's the opposite here .Still no rain and very humid .My green lawn is going brown :)
Dirty nappies round here are strewn under the seats in our lovely little park opposite ; in which the men work hard to keep it nice .And there are bins next to the seats ! Dirty lot .

I have broken my specs and having to struggle along with a spare pair which are not varifocal. The lenses are so thick and I look like Joe 90.
I'll see you all later when I can see properly :)
Toodlepip for now ,take care .

morning all - it is unbearable here, really stinking hot. Have half unpacked and have tried out the egg boiler - nice. where has all this stuff come from in my lugguage?

Beautiful Robi just like my sister's, oh I'd love to come and roll on your grass but fear I would never get up again.

Ah well, back to cleaning, washing and unpacking ooh and then there's the ironing.....................................
OK OK Robinia, rub it in!!

Our grass is yellow with brown patches with a small amount of greenish colour where the sun don't shine.
My garden looks so, so sick.

It is cloudy now, perhaps, just perhaps when all this rain comes tomorrow it will come our way.

(Your garden looks absolutely lovely Robbie - The only thing about here that is green is me - GREEN with envy!!)
Sorry girls, I keep telling everyone to move to Norfolk...be aware, they just might! It's is looking very lush but it's always damp underfoot, even on the odd warm sunny day...and wellies with a boob tube is definitely not a good look ;o)

Hope you arrived home safely neti :o)
