Ha ha lottie. Wish I hadn't eaten the cockles and mussels, I keep burping fish and it's orrible oight oight.
oight oight Woofy. Sleep tight. I shall be off to bed very shortly. Just have to fling stuff in the breadmaker. Have had quite a nice day without too many aches and pains today so am feeling more relaxed.

Oight oight to everybody else too.
Just popped in to say Oight Oight .
Didn't the cockles agree Woofy ? The ones I had today were lovely ,mind you it was only a small tub .I love cockles .I can't walk past the fish stall or the chip stall if I go into town.I get my chips then tip the cockles on them and douse them all in vinegar .A pint of cockles now costs £4.50.
Daylight robbery ! They used to be about a shilling when I was a child .
I never take a good photo for passports or the like .I look as if I'm wanted for something .
My passport photo is dire and my bus pass one even worse.
I watched Midsomer this evening .It's so silly and unbelievable but I do enjoy it .Paul Nicholls was in it tonight .
Sleep well folks .
For Shaney and Woof

My Dad used to take me down to the Cockle Sheds in Prittlewell when I was a child. I love them!!
Actually, it was Leigh on Sea. Our relatives lived in Prittlewell, just down the road.

I sort of remember them looking just like this, but it wasn't in the 1920's that I was there - although my passport/Blue Badge photos would indicate otherwise!!
I am reminiscing here, since posting the Dubliners.

My grandad used to play the ukelele and he used to play this and sing it to me

Feel sad now, I loved my Grandad :o(

"cockle shell grit supplied to builders"? That sounds great for the teeth. Fortunately I can't eat anything out of the sea, I'd sooner have a placenta smoothie.
no, sadly the cockles and mussels did not agree....well they agreed with each other to gang up on me and ruin my sleep. Car goes off to get de scratched this morning and dentist this afternoon then hopefully fence man tomorrow.
Car goes off at 8 am so will stay awake till its gone then get some kip.
I think I like cockles but can't remember what they are, hate mussels but always eat one in a paella cos it's tradition, Mr N eats the lots. I love clams (I think that's the English name (small things in shells, Almejas here or berberechos)

Still in bed and it 12° outside so it's an improvement.

Hope you are all feeling OK.
cockles are like clams but I don't know if they taste the same. Nice man has collected the car and left me a little red Polo if I need to go out. Its quite strange after mine because it is so low.
Good morning. Got up early 'cos Mr LL left early - thinking of sneaking back to bed for an hour and listening to the radio!!
Morning all loved the Videos Lottie but couldn't open the song your Grandad used to sing to you. It just said error occurred.
I'm off to the Pharmasists in a bit for some soothing stuff for 'you know where' to tide me over til I go to my appointment on Monday. Have used all the bullets the Dr. gave me.
Later I'm of to see my House Husband Plumber and his gorgeous baby boy.
Had an email this morning today from an addy I didn't know with an attachment which said 'Hoping this may be you and me one day!!!' So I just deleted it and blocked it. I'm not sure now, so I'm going to go through my contacts list and see if the address is in there and belongs to someone I do know ~:o)
Laters 'gaters
P>S> I really can't eat crustaceans at all. I love fish and I can eat prawns and shrimps but anything else Ughh! Sorry!

Morning funny phizogs...<ducks>.... :o)
It's sooo dark but as soon as it clears I'm going to make the most of this last mild day, it's going to drop with avengeance tomorrow.

I used to like cockles until I had some dodgy ones...I wasn't terribly ill but it was enough to put me off, upsetting me once is enough. Mussels though, yuk! And I've never eaten squid or octopus, there's enough food in the world for me to not need those. For some unknown reason I keep fancying corned beef...? I haven't eaten that for years.

I agree shaney, Midsomer borders on the laughable but ooooh, Neil Dudgeon, Jason Hughes AND Paul Nicholls all at the same time...it was almost more than my one remaining hormone could take....

<floats off in a dream>

are these cockles cos they are almejas??
The musings of Lottie -

I love squid in a nice garlic sauce - yummy.

I may have had octopus, but if I have it must have been disguised well in a foreign sauce.

I adore clams, but they have to be fresh from the sea.

Mussels I can take or leave, but are OK in a paella.

The one fish I can't bring myself to try is fresh Tuna. I love the tinned variety, but the colour of the uncooked fresh fish is really unappetising, blurrrrrrrgh

I did go back to bed and had a lovely couple of hours of sleep and woke up to bright sunshine!!

I can see I am not going to achieve a lot today, but want to move some errant foxgloves somewhere more suitable................ mmmmmm shall I, shant I.
Jude I reposted the duff song link immediately afterwards. It was the Val Doonican one.
