Some top names appear alongside the leading role, Chiwetel Ejiofor, during the 7 episodes, including Christopher Eccleston, Rafe Spall and Stephen Rea. It involves the investigation of a murder, not just by the police, but by members of the criminal world. Unfortunately it is only available through Blueray and by purchase from Amazon Prime.
Linay of Duty is written by Jed Mercurio who did Cardiac Arrest around twenty years ago
new one out this week end ( new series about X )
Dr Jed was anaesthetic reg in Bham in the 8os and wrote about the workers there. I was one of the other registrars and the sister who rips our hero off for wearing 'the wrong check shirt - and dont get it wrong again!" was sister in charge of the ITU at the old accky. The dear old boy who looked fter the juniors was - - - made up - a fantasm

Ken4155 - think that's what I did too. When I went back to series one I had the feeling that I knew some of the characters, especially Josephine and Roban. Now on series four and think I'm getting near to the episodes I watched so long ago.
Have also watched the first episode of The Bridge which I enjoyed.
Missing Montalbano - like losing a good friend.
