James Brown: Give It Up, Or Turn It Loose//There It Is//Mother Popcorn//Let A Man Come In And Do The Popcorn//Hot Pants.  I could go on.  There are litterally hundreds of JB tunes.  In my humble opinion I think he was at his best during '68-'72/3 simply because of the musicians he was using, Bootsy Collins, Clive Stubberfield, Bobby Byrd.  Again, I could go on.  For some serious funking though check out The Meters.  The tightest funk band EVER.  You may also want to check out Soul Jazz Records as they put together all sorts of very comprahensive compilations and reissues all across the board.  Enjoy.
