Have They Both Gone Mad

You have to stand outside a supermarket 2 metres apart, and wait until you're told to go in, same at other shops, along with you're mask, you go to the indoor shopping centre, your told to walk in on the one side, and out on the other side, we have jobsworths on the shop doors telling us when we can go in, Yet you can cram yourself on to a plane with total strangers from all over the UK, rubbing shoulders together for an average of 3/4 hours for a holiday abroad, catch the virus may be while your there, and spread it to the rest of the passengers on the 3/4 trip back. So why are Boris and Hancock scratching their heads wondering why the infection is increasing again. Beats me.

I agree Dave. We had several trips booked before this happened, all of which have been cancelled - including one for the middle of October. I wouldn't bother to re-book any foreign travel until this is over. We'll spend our money in the UK this year. A bit of a much needed boost to this country's economy at least.
Wearing of masks has NOTm made it safer, its just the perception of being safer. No one is wearing them correctly that I have seen, most are just pulling them up in a shop all mis shapen and grubby in some cases. Totally pointless.
All about control by Witless and Hand?Cock with Boris still stuck staring at the on coming headlights. Time for them to go.

If worn correctly then there is a degree (nowhere near 100% even by the 'experts') of protection.
But people dont.
And no I dont think I know better than the experts, many agree that they are pretty useless and could in some cases actually cause problems will build up of bacteria in masks being worn for long periods of time well past their design. May daughter, doctor, is also of this opinion and I remember her saying it years ago when the people in China/Honk Kong region started wearing them all the time.
So laugh all you like, but you are not being afforded the protection you think you are.

According to the information I have received by email, there will be no mask-wearing by guests in the resort I'm going to. They do a coronavirus test at the airport on arrival, you are met by a driver in your own Mercedes Limo and you are tested again on arrival at the hotel in their own medical centre and your results are back in 20 to 40 minutes. Once your test comes back clear, you are free to do as you please.
The staff wear masks at all time and practise regular hand hygiene. Extra cleaning and sanitation is taking place 24/7.
Yes I'll have to wear a mask on the plane but as far as I'm concerned that is a very small concession to make for a luxury holiday.
Indeed the reviews this week on TripAdvisor by guests staying where we're staying have been excellent and the guests couldn't be happier.

Unsureme, //I think that is what they want, cancel Overseas holidays so you need to boost the economy here,a cunning plan. //
If the government had cancelled our travel plans I might agree - but they haven't. The operators have cancelled them - so in effect, if you are right, would have shot themselves in the foot.
