They say they will stay till Christmas. I wonder if the parade can go ahead now?
Should they be "forced out" now?
if so, how could this be be enforced,
The Bankers don't give a stuff that these people are protesting !, and what have they achieved by it?

Ankou, I tend to agree with others who have said the protest is pointless - but in the sense that I doubt very much that the government will change anything. The protest is not, however, pointless in the sense that it brings the matter to the top of the agenda and puts it on every front page all over the world (these protests are also happening in other countries as I understand). So perhaps when i used the word "pointless", it was wrong, I should have said "unlikely to change anything", which I accept doesn't make it pointless. However, irrespective of what I think, I absolutely support the right of people to be able to peaceably demonstrate whether I or anyone else agrees with them or not.
"if it's drivel Ankou...don't read it ..rule of thumb"

well you only realoise that once you've read it dontcha.

any answer to my question ?
Dr Filth....once again you move the goalposts.

On £20 a week, there is no reason for him to go to school on an empty stomach.....that is all i am saying. Of course priorities come into play here.

I don't think it was you BM :-)
I also used the term pointless throughout this thread

no Ankou....none
sorry my reply was late i was trying to work out if i could feed a growing approx 12 -13 year old lad on that money
barmaid, i agree with everything you say. apart from, you have to believe things will change in order to protest with any conviction.

giving up and walking away (or forceably moved on as requested by some) would indeed lead to 'nothingness' or the disturbance of peace. thats why i can't get my head around the objection to these people protesting.
sqad - Would you like to give a brief weekly menu of meals and foodstuffs which you believe would be sufficient nutrition for a child per week.

Don't bother yourself with the costings........those of us in the real-world will price it up for you.
sorry sqad i have never been quick with facts and figures

if it was £20 a week just for breakfast yes but what does he have to eat at other times
its off tangent, but i too would like to hear sqads response to jack above.

let the thread open up to this, I am fine with that :-)
JTH....you have come into a discussion without reading the lead up posts I fear.
This is a little "spat" between Dr Filth and myself, both of whom have great respect for each other, about a child going to school on an empty stomach.

What happens to the child for the rest of the day was never a part of the discussion.
Ankou, that's a fair point, which I accept.

I too would like to hear Sqad's response!
Of course it was!?!
If the family income was £20 per week.........you either have to use that amount for *all* meals or a proportion of it for breakfasts 'only'.
>> What happens to the child for the rest of the day was never a part of the discussion. <<

if he was mine and i locked him under the stairs sqad bet you a quid some bugger would report me
ankou/barmaid....which post of mine are you awaiting a response?
