2 men have been convicted of the murder of stephen lawrence in 1993, what a dreadfully long time for justice to be done.

sara...she jolly well should be. if that were my son, i would not lie. i'd have slapped him into the middle of next week before taking him to the nick myself...
I imagine their xbox is in place and the telly and dvd player too.Another drain on the state that a tenners worth of rope couldve saved.
one of them was currently inside already for drugs charges. due to the fact he is still walking around, i'd imagine he is in solitary...
i agree with you 100% teddyboy...but unfortunatley capital punishment will never be re-instated in this country..there are too many do gooders..
Here's another killer who must have thought he'd escaped justice. Maybe the double jeopardy rule has passed its sell-by date.

Why do the media make so much fuss of a BLACK man that kills?
We Brits know what's happening here, but we're not allowed to say, due to PC laws! yet the so-called "offended" are allowed to shout their mouth off and scream RECESIM!
Gran67, what 'BLACK man that kills' did you have in mind?
Oh dear me.
is "recisim" Latin?
no it's not, it's misspelt. The correct spelling is of course recesim.
Is gran ex met police?
Maybe not Latin but it has a South African twang to it if you say it aloud.
very well spotted, Professor Higgins. I mean sandy.
The thing that shocked me about this case was the reporter on BBC who said the men will have to be charged as juveniles as this is what they were at the time.
They'll be sentenced as juveniles. Detained during HM's pleasure. This means, I think, that the Home Secretary will decide the duration of their sentence.
There will be uproar if they are given a light sentence.
The fact is, they were juveniles....and they should be sentenced accordingly. They will get the max...
Why is a racist murder considered more serious than any other murder? Surely any unprovoked murder is just as serious. Why don't any of the other unsolved murders get the same media coverage?
I can't believe I share air space with some people!!
there was alot of emphasis not just on the fact that this was a racist murder but it was suggested that the met were inherently racist to the point that they mishandled this case - on purpose.

Well I have news for you, the murder dont handle alot of murder enquiries correctly and not many cases are afforded the luxury of a public enquiry to see what went wrong.
