Where is his father?

Why would a child of that age get dressed in his coat, gloves and shoes?

How did he manage to open a strong closing door?

Why did his mum last check him at 9pm, unless of course she went to bed herself at that early time?

Cherchez le pere, as the French might have said. That the police think there is no evidence of criminality suggests that they think this is a domestic episode. They have been at great pains to say that. That may be so the man doesn't fear coming forward.
I am supposing the worst I'm afraid. Little boys don't get all dressed up and wander out of the house in the middle of the night. They might sleepwalk but not fully dressed. I suspect foul play of some sort. I hope I'm wrong but it doesn't look good does it ?
//Where is his father?//

Police Scotland seem to have got that one covered;

'We have spoken to his father. All of his family have been very, very helpful to the police.

Speak volumes Baldric.
"All of his family have been very, very helpful to the police."

Let's hope so, but what if it's another Shannon Matthews?

Of course he doesn't Chewn...he is opening up the subject for discussion !

I was only think about the dreadful Shannon Matthews case myself jim...at least in that affair, she was found alive and well...fingers crossed for this little lad !
I don't know, and it feels wrong to speculate in the absence of any evidence or knowledge of the family circumstances etc.

I would only hope that he is found alive and well and soon for the sake of the family.

Chewn...I am still not sure why you think we shouldn't be discussing this affair. Its at the top of every news broadcast this morning, and it has a very strong "human interest" element. Why isn't it suitable for discussion ?
//Why did his mum last check him at 9pm//

Isn't it usual for a mum to look in on a child during the evening? I think so.
"Isn't it usual for a mum to look in on a child during the evening? I think so. "

I'm often going to bed at 9pm myself, sometimes earlier, so I don't check on mine during the night either.
sorry naomi, misread your reply, thought you were asking why she didn't check him throughout the night.
chewn there is a young child missing for gods sake, playing devils advocate on here don't help,what if it was your child??

Thank you for pointing that out mikey.

This person is just a troll looking at ways to turn a perfectly legitimate debate into something entirely different, which is perfectly illustrated in this person's later post.

Perhaps the Mods will spot what is going on here and take the appropriate action?

whos' guessing? he is just missing, your the one who said guessing!
With that attitude Chewn there's no point discussing ANYTHING on this forum or any forum is there?

AOG asked a legitimate question, one which doesn't require you trying to rip it to shreds. It'd be nice if you'd respond about the topic or leave well alone if it annoys you as it seems to.
seems having read some of the trolls answers to other questions he does this all the time, rather sad don't you think!!
