In this day and age is this the best we can do for these animals ,I believe it was Byron who said of these creatures Denied in heaven the soul he held on Earth while man vain insect hopes to be forgiven and claims himself a sole exclusive Heaven or something like that
He seems to have got that right as it seems what goes on out of sight or in the name of religion is o/k

Well one think is for sure, whilst we have Halal/Kosher the veggies wont be able to stop us eating meat as the religion card will be played to the full!

I think you will find the majority of Halal is simply blessed and slaughtered unconscious. A small amount is killed in the traditional way, probably no more than the grouse, poached rabbit etc hilled around the country.

when unconcsious blood still pumps/circulates. All livestock carcases have the jugular cut be bleed. Chickens are not injected but receive DEFRA approved feed for purpose.
