Well it seems that simply by posting a news report on the accidental death of Camilla, Duchess of Cornwall's brother it has opened a whole can of worms full of hatred against this Camilla.

So I think the best questions to ask now is why is she so hated by some, was it because Charles happened to fall in love with a married women, (nothing new there it happens not only to the aristocracy, but even to mere mortals)?

Or was it because the late Princess Diana, reached idol status among the minds of some?

And finally why in the minds of some is Charles not fit to become King, or Camilla his Queen?

You asked:

Perhaps. Diana was loved by many, as evidenced by the week where Britain 'wobbled' leading up to her funeral.

Camilla was cast in the role, by many, as the bad guy.

Personally, I simply don't find her interesting. Not in the same way that Princess Margaret was interesting.
If he had married Camilla instead of Diana, would her children be in line to the throne?
they met in 1970 and started a relationship, not exactly like the Edward and Wallis debacle. he goes off into the Navy, she marries, he then gets together with Diana, then goes on to have affair with Camilla five years later, according to various sources. He could have shown more metal had he said he wanted to marry Camilla early on, perhaps he didn't want to,
sowing wild oats and all that, but to marry someone knowing you care for someone else, that does seem quite cruel. Diana was so very young as well, and as you say it could have all been so different.
...i mean the children she already had?
she wouldn't have had the children then, pixie?

sp1814, remember Margaret was another one forbidden to marry the one she wanted to (because he was divorced). You could argue that this messed up her life royally, to coin a phriase.
No, Pixie, they wouldn't. He's married to her now and they still aren't.
I think people are a bit upset that Diana was only a brood mare - it possibly reflects what the heir to the throne thinks about the rest of us.
not sure, if there were children from her divorce,
but if he had married her early on, when they kicked off this long romance, then they would likely have had children, as she obviously could bear children, having two with Andrew Parker Bowles,
He did what he thought was his duty but he didn't bargain on getting a wife who wanted a real marriage.
I remember Charles saying 'whatever love means' when asked if they were in love at their engagement and as young as I was at the time, I remember thinking that didn't bode well.

Relationship with Princess Margaret

Group Captain Townsend is best known for his romance with Princess Margaret.[4] He had met the Princess in his role as an equerry to her father, King George VI. Despite his distinguished career, in the social atmosphere of the time, when divorced people suffered severe disapproval and could not remarry in the Church of England, Townsend had no chance of marriage with the princess unless she renounced her royal privileges. Their relationship caused enormous controversy around 1953. The Princess eventually renounced Townsend, who was sent to take up a post at the British Embassy in Belgium.
If Charles and Camilla had children together, they would be in the line of succession, but Camilla's children by someone else aren't.
No, of course. Just seems odd that the Queen's children wouldn't be.
I don't think she was used as a broodmare. She wanted children. I don't think she was anywhere near as innocent and naive as she liked to make out.
Bit weird that Camilla Shand went out with Prince Charles and Andrew Parker Bowles went out with Princess Anne..............
Yes, she wanted children, but protocol in those days demanded an unblemished track record - which she was able to provide - whereas Camilla could not.
Just one of those parties, craft...
She was innocent and naïve when she married him, the hardness came later with Charles' betrayal.

when charles and camilla went to new zealand last year - he had not been there for thirty years, and the locals were a bit out of touch

when they saw the couple - they all said "blimey!! diana has really let herself go"
she was all of twenty when she married, he was an experienced man with the ladies, who had initial designs on Diana's sister.
i do think she was looked upon as good for him, whether he was good for her is another matter.
