Utter nonsense. I have always worn short-sleeved shirts, with, and without ties. Most offices in Britain have still to embrace air conditioning and I have always found them to be far too hot and stuffy, winter and summer. There no reason that a chap can't look smart with a short-sleeved shirt, other than old fashioned prejudice. Jeeves still lives it would...
Ahhh...I see....well carry on unclipping, Anne....☺
You've triggered a memory, Jim....I once costumed Brigadoon....a dressing room full of men trying to get in and out of kilts was like working in a room full of long tailed cats and rocking chairs....
Now men in kilts look silly with long sleeved shirts..must be short sleeves and a tartan tie....☺
//Pixie....a tie is the one article of men's clothing that you can remove seductively.....x //
ah. I didn't realise that, gness. Mine are usually the long-hair and leather jacket types. I'm not convinced i could remove a tie seductively- I'd probably end up hitting them in the face...,:-) x
It wouldn't occur to me to wear a tie with a short-sleeved shirt, no way.
I think the last time I wore a Tie was when we got married back in, er, just a minute! . . . er! . . . Oh yeh, got it, the late(ish) 80's.
Ahh Tank Top and short sleeve shirt, those were the days Hmmm what were they called before tank top? was it pullover, this has taken on a new meaning today i think
Jim...there is nothing I'm not capable of...well except like Baldric, remembering anniversaries... ;-)
I have a friend who has panic attacks if he tries to put on a tie...nuisance that....
He went for one of those past life regression things and turns out that in a previous life he was the pharmaceutical equivalent of Shipman...and was hanged for it....well that's his excuse.....☻
