I have just heard on the radio news that a 25 year old pregnant woman has been stoned to death in Pakistan by her father and family because the father hadn't sanctioned the marriage.

How very, very sad for the poor woman, and how sad that such barbaric behaviour still exist in the world.

Pakistan is a godawful place populated largely by barbarians. Terrible things are done there by terrible people.
