I think 'obsessed' is pitching it a bit strong. I am in the middle of a debate with you, among others, but I am not obsessed about it!
As for my 'Septic hating side ..." - I am unsure where that observation has come from, I don't have a hating side, 'septic' or otherwise.

some years ago, during a particularly fierce thunderstorm in France, a group of us refused to abandon the BBQ we'd planned and set it up inside a large frame tent. with the flaps open only enough to ensure the wet didn't get in, it soon filled with charcoal smoke.
of course, we made the smokers stand outside.

I saw that news item about the young girl who killed her shooting instructor, and the reaction from the Range owner when asked was it appropriate for such young children to be using a sub-machine gum was disgusting but not unexpected. He revealed the 5 years olds were allowed on the shooting range, as long as they accompanied by their parents !
Only in America !

Ummmm...did you really not know about the dangers of carbon monoxide ? These kinds of accidents happen all the time and are widely reported. A fatal accident occurred on the site that I have my caravan on, down in Cornwall, when a BBQ was used inside a tent. This is in despite of posters all over the campsite, in 4 different languages warning of the dangers. But still we continue to get them. At what point do people have to assume some responsibility for themselves ?

OK Ummmm...I guess I feel it safe to accept an invitation to a BBQ from you now !
Personally, I blame all this craze for BBQ's in the first place. My neighbours had one on BH Monday, despite it being widely predicted to rain solidly for hours on end. I mean I live in Wales for Gods sake ! What is wrong with properly cooked food, prepared in the kitchen and and eaten in the garden ?
When did this obsession for badly cooked, burnt food start anyway? Our Colonial cousins I expect !
And when did we all start to eat "mayo"...what is wrong with Salad Cream ?
