A Strange Door Policy In 21St Century Uk

Like something from 1950s USA. In todays inclusive society it was a very strange trick to pull - the bouncers must've know there would be repercussions as this type of behaviour is very newsworthy.
But nightclubs have had the power to refuse entry to groups of males with absolutely no comeback. Had this happen to me several times when out even in a small group of 4 or 5. Is this wildly different from the scenario in the link?

"An Internet troll, or simply troll in Internet slang, is someone who posts controversial, inflammatory, irrelevant or off-topic messages in an online community, such as an online discussion forum or chat room, with the primary intent of provoking other users into an emotional response or to generally disrupt normal on-topic discussion"
I post this purely so that we have a definition of the term, thus making it easier to identify them when we see them. it is directed at nobody in particular and certainly not AOG.

I was thinking about the same sort of thing snafu, as I thought the clubs & venues would have a dynamic policy on balancing their clientele to suit best business interest.
