I watched and observed the minutes silence while watching bbc news 24 with the sound turned down I was quite frankly taken a back with the number of people both in Tunisia and in the UK taking selfies on their phones during the 1 minute silence is it too much to ask people to refrain from using technology for 1 minute??
I saw someone (on the footage taken in Sousse) who was taking a photo during the silence. Is that the person you are referring to? It wasn`t possible to see if he was taking a picture or a selfie. Shame he couldn`t have put the camera down for a minute and just observed the silence. I guess he`ll be including the photo in his holiday shots!
i was in asdas when they announced there would be a minutes silence all but one stopped then it dawned on her what was happening and she also stood still .
Watched the BBC coverage. There is 1 man with a phone 2 inches from his face. He is not taking a selfie, which involves hold the phone at arms length. It looks like he is filming the ceremony.
The BBC news coverage on their website was from 1pm highlights. I saw the original footage at 1200 (it wasn`t the guy with the white phone, it was someone else). As I said, you can`t see if they are taking selfies or ordinary photos but surely they can just put the phone down for a minute.
