Even the Guardian readers seem to have had quite enough of his lordship.
Oh dear Sir Lenworth. Not shy in broadcasting his thoughts is he? Never been my cup of tea I'm afraid. I wonder what he thinks about this:-

// His guest editing of BBC Radio 4's Today programme received mixed reviews with some claiming "discrimination" as Henry disallowed white people from taking part.//
//Not shy in broadcasting his thoughts is he? //

Pity he has a platform from which to broadcast them. Idiot.
He was just boring before his K, now he's insufferable .
His best work yet. Well, apart from the flan thing, obviously.

maybe they should bring back the black and white minstrels -without the white ones, then sir henry can do stand up which got him on the telly in the first place on Opportunity knocks.
I think he does a lot for Children in Need....
He shot to attention when he won New Faces. He will be looking to bring back a new version - New BMAE Faces.
Has anyone noticed that the % of black and Asian characters on TV already seems higher than the % in the general population?
EDDIE it depends where you live. We have no black or Asian neighbours within about 5 miles but we are rural. I once went to Birmingham and could not see a white face in some parts . It does not bother me white or black, i think sir henry is actually being racist by even mentioning the fact there are more of one ethnicity than another -it really should not matter and to be honest there are plenty of black and Asian newsreaders on the TV and I suppose they got those jobs because they are good at presenting the news, not becasue of the colour of their skin.
Does the person who got the sir thing have to be referred as sir as as a term of endearment I refer to most men of whom I do not know their name as "sir" Is it the tower for me I is wondering
We hear this argument such as his in so many areas whether it be an underrepresentation of the BME community in the police, politics etc. We must be a very racist nation....

"We have no black or Asian neighbours within about 5 miles "

dont worry, theyll soon move in....make the most of it whilst you can....

Who is 'them'?
My grandkids love Balamory that remote Scottish highland village where 40% of the residents are black or Asian.

Yes they may well be good at the job they do, but since the likes of Lenny Henry has been mouthing off, there has been an enormous increase in the number of black or Asian newsreaders, weather forecasters and actors placed in unsuitable roles.

Surely that isn't because suddenly there has been a huge influx of very talented people who just happen to be non-white.
bazwillrun 'don't worry, they'll soon move in....make the most of it whilst you can....'

There is no where for them to move into, except a few barns and drift mines -and if they did it wouldn't bother me as long as they paid their way.

Actually I've just realised we do have an ethnic minority in our nearest village which is three miles away - we have a Chinese take-away there but they mainly do fish and chips lol!
