staging....

de Gaulle's liberation of gay paree was staged ( a week later ) but that doesnt deny the truth of the liberation of Paris in 1944....

Similarly Allenby's march into Jerusalem 1917 ( which shows a diminutive Lawrence in the background ) was 'staged' or planned
Allenby walked, because the Germans love of limos had caused offence - but you know - Allenby had occupied J and the Huns had left

"'ve seen the authenticity of the photograph questioned before - right here on this site."

youll find there were articles all over the net, im not gong into details, but they were saying that from the pics and the story as given, time in water etc that the conditon of the body didnt match what would be expected.

nobody said it was deliberately drowned or it was "staged" as such just that there were some very obvious inconstancies in the given circumstances...
And man has never landed on the moon, you know!
im just saying what i read not giving my opinion as to waht happened nor whether i believed the reports or not or not.....
"... Dead Syrian boy on beach photo was staged..."

I don't know if it was or if it wasn't. What I do know is that the father’s story has changed so many times that it's clear he is not telling the truth. In one rendition of his tale he was attempting to save the life of his son and wife, both of which died while he was by their side. In another, he was not with them at all and he learned of their fate from a hospital. In yet another telling, he recalls their "bloated" bodies washing up on the beach despite the fact that it takes several hours (if not days) for the gasses in a corpse to expand to cause "bloating".

/// Perfect sense....Ghastly old bag ! This makes me so angry. ///

The usual personal insults, spew from the mouth of our typical Labour supporter.

Oh lordy...are you really complaining about Mikey insulting a woman that has made a career out of insulting people?
ANOTHEOLDGIT, do you agree with Hopkins' statement?
The usual reaction anyone gets if they dare to question something that the establishment has told them or showed them, what to believe.
ummmm

Strange I once called an evil woman criminal, a b*t*h (name for a female dog) and was openly chastised on this site, by the ED or one of his team.

Yet here we have someone calling a female journalist a 'Ghastly old bag' and yet nothing is said, why it even gets support from some.

Is there no justice?
"The usual reaction..." deflecting the question?

/// ANOTHEOLDGIT, do you agree with Hopkins' statement? ///

If you mean was the photo staged, I have no reason or proof to disbelieve it, and neither has anyone else unless they were actually on that beach, at that particular spot and at that particular time.

Now I have answered your question can you now answer mine? Do you agree with this particular statement that she was reported as saying?

/// "So unless we stop people crossing the water, unless we send people to stop those boats that's going to carry on happening so I say don't get upset about one
photo." ///

Give me time you are not the only one on here.
AOG...have you seen her interviews or read many of her columns?
If transport were better organised there would be fewer casualties so no, I do not agree with her statement.

If you can be bothered, AOG, watch this...

Good example Ummm, of this woman's half-baked ideas. And what a snob !

But I think we need people like her, for the amusement value alone.
Her wee ones are named Poppy, India and Maximillian by the way.
