Cameron Is On The Radio
Threatening Assad again. Considering Russia and China are supporting Assad, isn't he making a bit of a fool of himself.
It's like Julian Clary threatening Mike Tyson. Could it be simply a case of him backing the wrong side (isis) a couple of years ago and being too stubborn to admit it. (or something much darker)

In the eyes of some the Russians can't do anything right. If a Russian soldier saved a kid who was being strangled by a giant python it would be reported as.... Russian soldier murders child's pet. Most of the blame for the mayhem in the Middle East can be laid squarely on the West ( particularly US of A). It's largely thanks to us that the area has been reduced to a...

Probably contributed to it Svejk. Although we did buy a couple of Terracotta Warriors and a Panda! We're not the last of the big spenders. The crash happened a few weeks earlier. Our guide kept telling us he has lost £17,000 on the stock market. It anyone holds up China as a beacon of Socialism, I found out they have to pay for their housing, medical treatment, education and pensions.belive me it is Capitalism and survival of the fittest all the way!
Back to your original thread. Cameron should learn from interventions (Iraq, Lybia). What do they say "your enemies enemies?"

It's not like he is condemning the attacks on the rebels unilaterally. Many countries are critical of this cynical move to bolster Assad by "accidentally" destroying his enemies indiscriminately rather than concentrate on the one they claim to be fighting. Trouble is the policy of sitting back and moaning used by other nations, particularly the USA who have great power, has allowed him to grasp this initiative.
Cameron is just Obama's poodle. The Yanks want Assad and the Russians removed and are not really too bothered how that is achieved. So they have allowed ISIS to flourish because they stand a chance of removing Assad and we have stood by and let it happen.
Most of the so called rebels aren't even Syrian, they are foreign terrorists supported by the wahabbi nutcase Arabs and Washington.

Cameton supported ISIS in the past? When was that? I've repeated this countless times but worth doing so again, that Syria is not Assad v ISIS, it is far more complicated than that. Any 'help' Cameron might have given ISIS would only be by default, by encouraging one of Assad's enemies, in the same that Putin is also now presumably (or not?) 'helping' ISIS by targeting their non-Assad enemies.

// Russian President Vladimir Putin called for a regional "co-ordinating structure" against jihadist militant group Islamic State (IS) //
The silence from Cameron and Obama was deafening. The lack of a response when American and British people were being beheaded by IS was telling.
If Putin succeeds is destroying IS and their Caliphate, then he will have done us all a favour, where our own Government has let us down.

Putin's agenda is quite simple; he is supporting Assad and it doesn't matter what each group is called, - anyone trying to overthrow the regime will be attacked, and if after a substantial bombing campaign is completed, he may well send in ground troops.
At least he has a planned objective and is carrying it out, while the likes of Cameron and Obama huff and puff in the wings trying to sound important.

// Hundreds of Iranian troops have arrived in Syria in the last 10 days and will soon join government forces and their Lebanese Hezbollah allies in a major ground offensive backed by Russian air strikes, two Lebanese sources told Reuters.
"The (Russian) air strikes will in the near future be accompanied by ground advances by the Syrian army and its allies," said one of the sources familiar with political and military developments in the conflict.
Thus far, direct Iranian military support for Assad has come mostly in the form of military advisors. Iran has also mobilized Shi'ite militia fighters, including Iraqis and some Afghans, to fight alongside Syrian government forces. //

Ichk. //Now is Putin going to destroy ISIS's caliphate ??
Not by doing what he is doing now that is for sure.
Ground forces would be needed for that, and over a much wider area than just Syria//
Well he sounds like he's up for it;
