A woman has come forward to the shop where the news channels have been filming from in Worcester claiming to have the winning £33M lotto ticket, only problem is the FULL date is not visible, just the year, and the barcode is washed out as well, now the date is at the top of the ticket and the barcode is at the bottom, it just seems a little suspicious to me.

I wonder what would happen if Camelot paid this person with the washed ticket, the £33 million, and then next month a person turns up with the real ticket?

CCTV is also irrelevant: why would the camera be pointed to an item being bought rather than the customers who mightwish to steal it? The computer system will know the outlet where the lucky ticket was bought.

CCTV would be pointed at the till to catch any staff on the fiddle.

Agree with aelmpvw, its just odd how the numbers and the year are all that is left.

If the shop where it was bought has a cctv - perhaps it would show if she bought the winning ticket, as the camera records time etc.
